100000mAh would give both devices a couple of days(3? 4 maybe) of power, then i could fall back to my standard. Due to the cold i literally have to recharge my sonar AA batteries daily. Lithium batteries are supposed to performs far better in the extreme cold...hope so!!
Those units look rather small.

I say this because there is a physical limit to energy density with lithium based batteries that indicates that their claims are a bit removed from reality.

For really cold weather stuff, get yourself a lead-acid 12V battery designed for that environment and an inverter for AC supply. Lithium raw discharge capacity drops with the temperature. Not too much, mind you, but for extreme weather lead-acid is still the champ, in my opinion.

@Mike20132 I honestly don't want to move to a big heavy 12V like a lawnmower battery as all portability is gone. Both units are very small and portable as they are, and if i roll with a lawnmower battery it triples the weight of both combined units. Even if i got a bank for each unit? I mean they are both run off AA batteries

This is the same camera as the one i bought

In that case you want to get power banks from reputable companies. And even then, check the reviews. When a company tells you that they support 1000mAh, they are telling you that they can supply one amp at the battery's listed voltage for an hour. Most of the cheaper options are flat out lying on this front. Even some more reputable companies leave it up to the marketing department to put out those numbers, and in nearly every case, those are also exaggerated.

Find some 3rd party reviews that specifically address the capacity of the unit. Anker is my recommended brand, though they can be a bit pricey.

INvaluable info!! As i am sure you can tell already i am a total newb at this type of stuff. Okay i found 2 at a good price....not the mega capacity like the one earlier(like you said that may be BS though), but even if it only went a full day(or 2) on both devices and had the ability to quick charge that would be great. Here is what i found
This one has the double output

This one is only 10000 and has only one output, but man its only $10 with free shipping!! I feel like i should be buying two of these before i even post the link!!

If you are confident in either/both sellers to send you a genuine product, you will not go wrong with either.

Both take a good long time to charge, since they have to settle for the current a USB port can supply.

Of the 4 anker units I have, only one can charge from a regular AC adapter. That one is a 20,000 mAh unit they no longer sell.

All of them deliver what they promise, though.

If you want to go crazy and get a really amazing power bank, I am leaning towards recommending one of these: https://www.omnicharge.co/products/omni-20

crazy expensive, but also crazy versatile. It even has an AC outlet that can comfortably supply 100 watts of power.

Don't overlook that AC plug - you will be amazed at how convenient that is once you have it. Especially if you have to unplug/replug things on a regular basis.

Hahaha i crapped in my pants a lil' bit, when i seen the price on that omni!! :D

So here is why this is a task for me....when i go fishing for a week at my bros cabin, we only have power(run by smart tech generator electronic friendly), for one hour in the morning, one hour at lunch, and 3-4 hours at night. Shut the generator off at bedtime. So we have AC power running during those times....we have a laptop computer that is there. So lets say that the power is turned off, and the battery bank is hook up to the USB on the computer. Will the bank suck the laptop battery dry while i sleep, or would it have to have power running into it to charge it? Those may be dumb questions. :D

Ok that really help isolate what you need.

Given the limited availability of charging current, you want something that can charge quickly. You might have to dig into specs to really see the numbers, but generally speaking if you get a charger that plugs into a mains socket, it will charge faster than one that charges from a USB connection. It come's down to current limitations of USB.

With that said, even a USB charger will push current into the battery. Well designed ones will do so at the max current. It might not be as robust as the AC adapter modes, but it will still charge. It might be enough depending on how much energy you need to take into the field each day.
