What would results be if I used those as side light with my led as the main light source?

I am using some CFL for side light right now, just because I can. I certainly don't need them. The real reason I have them in there is for natural light to take pictures. But why not leave them on once they are installed right? I do not see any change, but many people use them for clone chambers, seedlings, and side light.
