I am wondering if anyone knows if a proper cure may be less important for vaporizing vs smoking? It would save me a lot of hassle if I could just dry it down and store it as I need to be as stealthy as possible.

well...curing is really just the finalphase of drying... its oneof themostimportant parts of growin.... not curing wont keep you fromgetting high... butit changes the cannibinoids within the bud to some degree and also definetly changes the flavor... get some 65% bovida packs... a few mason jars and a few digital humistats.... worthwhileimo...especially for vape.

I agree with John, it's really worth the extra work! Vaping or smoking.

Here is what i suggest to you.... Buy some mason jars....then when you harvest your bud and get them dry, label at least 5 jars.

1) Smokeing Jar (0 cure)
2) Date (one week from date you put in jar)
3) Date (Two weeks from date you put in jar)
4)Date (3 weeks from date you put in jar)
5) Date (one month of cure)

now when i mean 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, etc i mean this is the time you write down AFTER your done airing out your jars remember to air out your jars throughout the first week of jaring so you don't get any mold. i know this goes without being said but its a good idea to air out for 15-20 min, 3-4 times a day as needed until a good 99% of the moister is out. Then you can jar them up and write the date down and starte the REAL curing process. the point of curring is to NOT allow oxygen to the plant this slows down the curing process and to some people i've talked to "resets" the curing time. they won't open a jar until its totally done even if that means not smoking at all. but thats there deal lol.

now in your smoke jar you'll have what you normlly smoke for a week pluse minus a few grams for fun times lol.
in the rest of the jars your put a couple nice rewarding nugs or colas in and in the final jar put the nicest nug you got in there and remember to NOT smoke any of the curring buds.

I did this the first time because i didn't belive the hype on curing so i decided to try it. and I have to say each week they will get a little more smoother on the hits and a the fragrence and taste come out more the longer you cure.

There is video from this years spannabis cup where this one guy had some buds that were cured for 5 years. WTF. it just crumbls at that point. but the guy showing it off perfers the taste of a year plus cure.

I had a buddy who had a cabnit in his kitchen that was filled with 12 shelves and he had dif bud for dif seasons and times of the month...crazy shit lol.

But def cure man. You don't have to but your taste buds will thank y9ou

Thanks guys for your replies.I guess i didn't ask the right question, but got the answer I was looking for anyway.I was wondering if the taste was worth the cure when using a vaporizer.Anyway the MFLB will be here soon and I'm looking forward to a new experience!

hey man i've noticed that when i cured some bud i had a jar go down to 56% and a jar that stayed at 64% and i could tell a dif in the way it vaped. maybe it just had to do with the 56% jar buds being a little crisper. just my experience i use the silver surfer exclusively btw

I've always cured my herb after a thorough dry ....at least a week-10 days which seems to be the first stop on the bell curve of improvement in taste....I always have a few choice nuggs from each month of harvests pushed back...what a blast to pull out some blueberry with a 3-16-11 date, or some lowryder 2 dated 11-27-10...in my MFLB, it's amazing the flavor...love to pull out a 'goodie' with a visitor and watch their face when they get a pull off the LB....I can wholeheartedly attest to how Gage suggested...you WILL notice a diff...
I seem to be the only one of my friends around here who have the patience to hang on to bud KNOWING it's gonna improve with every day I can keep my greedy little hands off of it....
