day 35
In the past 3 days, the plants have been getting a bit of spa treatment - first, some vermicompost top dressed, and watered in with aerated compost tea from the same VC, to add some highly active protozoa and bacteria and really get a party going.
Along with that went a small amount of humic acid, which I've decided to add to my regime as input in place of the fulvics MO has in his original recipe. In between, some plain water. And last night, it was time for the kelp-neem feeding too.
It sounds (and feels) a tad much, but maybe that will get them through this extreme growth phase without running into nutrient cycling problems. So this is me coddling my plants - and the barley is already soaking for the next sprout smoothie on Friday
When I checked on the CQ this morning, she was standing 48cm tall.
Compared to other grows being documented on AFN, she's taking her time, but then she's also very sativa-leaning and I think she's confused herself a bit with all that branching in the past days
Overnight, she has begun also fattening up her branches, and is striving upwards so strongly she pulled all the LST hooks overnight, where she was quite the lounging type just the evening before
She's really getting into blooming up now too
Poor Mz Woozy has made a leap in development too, and doesn't look at all like the orphaned cousin anymore. She's leaning more towards the indica side with a very regular and squat type of growth, even if less so than for example @awolace 's plant.
Standing at 28cm despite being a tad squished in the closet
And yes, she is lighter green at the moment than her sister
I would have thought the large CQ was going to slow her growth now, but when I checked in on her coming home just now she looked as if she had grown, and yep, 2cm since this morning No idea what she's up to, so I'll just do my best to keep her supplied with all she needs for her "project" haha
A quick peek into the closet just now:
That "indian bean" is growing a bunch of very large leaves and tendrils, which is starting to get a tad annoying but also supplies fresh N-rich mulch for the soil. So I'll keep her alongside as long as I can anyway
Looks like they've got their reproductive cycles synched up too eh
Cheers!
