Looks like the beginning of either calcium or magnesium. Im familiar with sohum soil (good stuff, just hard to find in stores).. Two things I noticed from your very 1st post..DBC was looking pretty droopy and pots were dry so watered last night 1500ml between the 2 of them with 3ml of fish shit. had about 40ml runoff each. DBC perked up this morning but they are both expressing their concerns this morning. I will have to do my research but I am going to post these in the infirmary. So hard to know for a first timer what's worth getting concerned about, but I'm here to learn either way.
CQ showing some yellow spotting on base of new leaves
DBC showing that same light green speckling that appeared and grew out on the last leaf set

Looks like the beginning of either calcium or magnesium. Im familiar with sohum soil (good stuff, just hard to find in stores).. Two things I noticed from your very 1st post..
1- filtered water. I'm sure most of the nutritional value is being filtered out with a low ppm of 58. So the water source may be lacking or low in macro nutes like calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron ect..
2- The ph.. In soil, you'll want that ph up around 6.5.. 6.0 is on the borderline of "low" uptake for calcium, magnesium, and a few others. Here's a chart that might help a little.
I know sohum soil will have everything else you'll need in it, and that it's water only for the first 4-6 weeks.. It also has crab meal as it's calcium/mag source..
So.. We know the soil has cal/mag even though the water may not have much.. That leaves the one remaining suspect, which is the ph.. I'd try raising the water ph a tad to make those nutrients a little more available.

I don't think a flush is necessary. You just need to try raising the ph of your water the next time you water your plants. Filtered/RO/Distilled water lacks nutrients that tap water naturally has, including calcium. Your soil has a calcium source in it, so the filtered/non filtered water thing doesn't really matter right now. I'd focus more on the ph of the water you're using. If you have some epsom salt lying around or at a store close by, you could use 1 tsp per gallon of water as a cal/mag foliar spray. That will get the nutes directly to the plant through its leaves.I will get something to raise the Water PH to 6.5 - I was thinking potassium silicate. Do you think I should wait until the next watering in a few days or do some kind of flush tonight to fix the issue right away? I will have to read up on how much to flush and I’m still unsure of watering technique so I’m trying to learn about that.
I think the tap water was about 130ppm. Would I be better served without filtering even if there are some contaminants?
Thanks so much for the reply
