Controlling smell

Mainemedical take your dog to urinate always under the window, dog urine can get very smelly too after a while!

I just got a blizzard and another one is on the way so a garden isn't really an option haha

Throwing in a question in your thread man! Hope you dont mind?

Just wondering: Does it have to be dark when you are drying cannabis? Or can i hang them up in the same room the grow is in. Having a pretty low RH at all time in my grow room. Round 30-35%. Could i use this as a drying room to? And cure them later offcourse. But just for the main drying part how important is the dark?

Odor control is often overlooked when setting up a grow. This can be the most important piece to growing in a stealth setup as odor will get you busted if not controlled properly. Running carbon filtration is always recommended and using an ozone generator when the carbon filter isn't getting all of it will deal with the issue. Remember spending a few hundred bucks now can save you thousands or more down the road so please invest wisely depending on your growing and living conditions.. There is nothing more obvious then walking in a door and it smells like skunk or really dank. Being smokers we often cant tell just how strong the odor can be.

I don't know where you live but best guess is US around here. I use this: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20222533/ + char coal filter (also ikea) set to circulate air. 3 step power control and I'm running it at 1 and it doesn't have to be on all the time even they flower now. Maybe when actual buds have formed it's on with the lights or more powered up intervals.

I have the exact same problem Autoflower, I don't think the light is the problem but the heat, they need to dry in colder air not dry too fast... but I might be wrong.

I see! Well, its not that big of a problem i can find other soulutions, But this would be very easy for me. ;) My growroom is steady around 24-26 C. Is this too hot?

When i read about drying, i can see that some people mean that you should dry in a cold dark place, and other mean that it should be dried in roomtemprature... why?

That's a little high you want it around 60-70F for drying/curing

darkness is highly recomended for the drying and curing proccess

@Autogrower I don't know I'm also a noob trying to learn what to do when the time comes, I guess because this is not an exact science, and ppl have mixed opinions. I'd also use my tent, with the carbon filter and all but I have 25-28 degrees I wouldn't want to compromise the buds..
