Have filled a demi john with warm water and a large but unspecified amount of sugar and about 14grams of yeast, it's working away like mad and I've put it into my grow room to try and increase the co2. Does anyone know if this will work? It now smells like a brewery in my grow room, so no need to worry about a dopey smell!
I'm sure my plants have perked up since I started but that could be wishful thinking!

Let me just find out what 87 - 95f is in c! 30- 35, isn't that a little high for grow room I keep mine at about 18 - 24 c 66-75 F

not if you want co2 to pay off.... I find they really roock at 87 degrees during flowering... autos seem to be able to handle about 100F max... I'd recomend you stay in the high 80's low 90s max though... too easy for one thing to go wrong with exhaust fan and lose it all...

cheers mate!

Thanks for that JM, I started at a higher temperature originally (around 85) but had terrible heat burn on the leaf tips, so I upped the humidity levels but it became like a jungle so I lowered the temp instead to combat any chance of rot.
Grow room is 2x2x5 with a fan at the bottom blowing cool air in and a passive outlet at the top opposite side. Problem is I grow in my shed so really open to the vagaries of the weather, a sunday can see the temps rocket in minutes! With winter coming on though I might try to increase the temps a bit.

yeah... np... not sure what kind of winters you get but def wanna have that controlled...

some ideas... obviously insult / seal cracks etc...

but water has a terrific heat storage capacity... you could put a bunch of 5 gallon jusg in there to help regulate the temperature... theyd soak up some of the heat lights on / daytime... and release it night time / cold...

:smokebuds..

water has the highest specific heat barring EXPENSIVE materials... specific heat of 1!!!
