New Grower CFs First Grow 6 NL X BB, 1 Lemon Skunk and 1 Jack Herer Photo with T5s

Alright so last post of the night.....Lemon keeps looking at me half-harvested like she wants to get it over with for the past hour or two.....lost track of time.

The dimensions are in a previous post.

Here is the strung rack weaved into the box.

I can elaborate more if anyone else wants more details but i got to get back to Lemon now. Lost enough time as it is....

Grow on Folks!

Looks good / very similar to my drying boxes ... I've been using the same boxes for 3-4 years and every time I get ready to harvest I remember I was going to make/invest in something a little more solid ... and then my old boxes work just fine so I forget them until another harvest ... good luck w/ your dry and cure ...

I cover these w/ a sheet of newspaper to allow a minimal amount of air flow w/o being closed up ...

Nice box bud. :digit: Sorry your still having some troubles.:frowny:
Only good thing about them is they usually pass. :bighug:
:note::joy::LOLStoned:
..................................:yeahthat:, keep up your guard :warrior:, but not high enough you can't enjoy the party:headbang:.
Thats chimney looks like a great Idea. I think I have the general idea just from the pic, but anything special you did to make it?:smoking:

Well those boxes would be marvelous for a humid environment but i may of over dried the first run bit in about 80 hours so i freaked out a bit..... i jarred the other 2 right away to let them even out a bit and will redry later if needed. I have left the fan on low for 1 day for the Lemon Skunk

Bud is alot fluffier/airier than i thought it would turn out but theirs loads of it for sure. and ive only jarred 3 sofar. :)

I will go buy a scale sometime this weekend and do a pictured update of each plants harvest done as of yet.

Would you like me to do a DIY on the boxes? I really look forward to using them this summer when things are way more humid around here.

Hell yeah man, do it up. I could use a better drying method, and happen to live in a very humid area.

Now about "giving up on everything"....

Since my last real picture update i have been having some financial and personal problems that just put me in the gutter for awhile and i still havent pulled myself completely out of it yet but things are going a bit better and should be resolved in another week or two now that i have a plan in place.

Oh I see. I read it that made me think you almost gave up on the grow specifically, but sounds like you had different priorities outside of the grow. Sorry to hear you are having troubles  I hope you pull through and come out stronger in the end :tang:

When a dried bud is put into a jar the moisture trapped deep inside begins to travel to the outside of the bud causing a bud that felt dry and stiff to be soft and moist ... so shortly after you put them in jars you have to check them for rh (4-24 hrs) and possibly remove from the jars for additional air time ... I generally dry in boxes for 1-2 days 'quick' or uncovered in dark room (no moving air) and then another day or two slow w/ the sheet of newspaper on top and then if the buds feel dry I put them in jars for 4-6 hrs ... this usually is enough time for the bud to rehydrate from within so I take them back out and place the buds where they can get air but not a breeze ... this last grow at this point I put the buds on paper plates and put the plates inside of brown grocery bags ... the bag allows minimal air/rh transfer so that from this point the bud dries evenly .... generally about 7 days after cutting the buds are low to mid 60s rh consistently which is dry enough to jar w/ the Boveda62 ... some of my last buds still felt wet after a week but no mold ... for me it's a multi step process that is very reliant on having a good hygrometer that fits in a jar and for knowing the rooms rh ... if the rooms rh is 60% and many are then I just turn out the lights and let the bud sit in the dark because w/o a breeze the bud won't dry to lower than 60% ... it breaks my heart to see bud either too dry or moldy after a successful grow ... took me about 3 grows before I started to get it right ... I find that once in the mid 60% rh range a bud can take 2-3 months for the moisture to move from the inside for the bud to the outside so that there is a consistent rh through out ... good luck w/ your dry and cure ...

Alrighty then il make another one sometime this week just for the DIY even tho i dont need another with how quickly these are drying. I guess my costs only came to about 10-12$ including a new fan (1 Speed) and any 9-12V >1Amp power supply will do for power. Im running 3 off of a 12V 1Amp power supply no problem.

I guess i should save the rest for the DIY. Im still sure these will do wonders this summer when it get real humid around here but works too well for current conditons.

I will keep that in mind when i have higher humidity levels but im at 25-30% RH so im working on slowing things down. Definitely no chance for mold now haha. Thanks for the tips.

So here are some long overdue pics of the harvest after curing for a few weeks.

Here is the shelf of jarred buds:
CAM00375.jpg

First up is #1 with a total weight of 143.2gs / 5.1oz
CAM00378.jpg

#2 comes in at 120.6g / 4.3oz and i have to admit that i have smoked quite a bit of it before weighing it at all.....
CAM00379.jpg

#3 has a whopping total of 159.1gs / 5.68oz
CAM00380.jpg

Tiny #4 came in at an impressive 75.1g / 2.68oz
CAM00381.jpg

Tallest #5 came in at exactly 140g / 5oz
CAM00383.jpg

And finally the Lemon Skunk came in at 116.1g / 4.15oz
CAM00385.jpg

That brings us to a grand total of 754.1g / 26.93oz with #6 still to come!

I decided to try a dry trim on #6 instead of wet like the rest and have yet to trim that leaf off but now i really want to know that real grand total so i might do it in the next few days. Oh and i also guesstimate that i have smoked/sold about 1 1/2oz sofar aswell.....oh and i threw out at least 2ozs of bud during harvest due to slight mold but dont care much about it now haha.

All i can say is......WOW!!!!!! I was always hoping to get at least a LB but never thought i could even pull that off and now after i add #6 and what i used already it looks like im way closer to 2lbs!!!!

Im actually kind of speechless right now so il post some more once i get #6 trimmed and scaled out.

Grow on folks,
CF
