New Grower CBD Auto-grow Journal v1.02

June 14
Fertigated Blue Cheese(non-auto) 3gal to 20% runoff of pH treated water only, pH 5.5.
I have wrapped the main cola around so that it is about the same height as the plant in general(15in high by 20in-22in wide. Wondering if this plant should have some leaves removed to expose more light into the canopy.

Blue Mystic is now displaying yellowing/browning of the small leaves protruding from Bud area. Many other older leaves(midway up) are showing the yellowing.

Forgot images, but the King's Kush CBD looks good except high nitrogen and the bud stigma are changing to orange all over the plant.

Can you look inside that bud to make sure there is no mold?

Nothing at all looks like mold or mildew on/in the bud.
Ok I think we are dealing with Cal-Mag Deficiency. You already started the Earth Juice right? Let's hope that helps.

Vitals:
Blue Mystic: Seed - April 2 | Flower - May 10 | Flush - June ? | Harvest - July ? (11 weeks)
King's Kush CBD: Seed - April 16 | Flower - May 10 | Flush - June ? | Harvest - July ? (9 weeks)

Blue Cheese: Seed - April 27 | Induced Flowering - July ? | | (7.5 weeks)

Flushing, according to various sources, should be done 1-2 weeks before harvest. The question is, how do I know when 1-2 two weeks is. Simply going by published norms, or seed bank postings seems like a dice-roll. Are there plant signs that tell me, yes - it's time to flush? Haven't found this insight on the internet.

The published data on Blue Mystic is aprox. 49-63 days(7-9 weeks) while the King's Kush CBD suggests harvest is at 9 weeks from germination.
My inclination is to induce flowering of Blue Cheese on or about July 1st, going to a 12/12 light schedule, thus reducing heat & light on the auto's - the nemesis of THC/THCA.

Observations:
In June I have gone from no longer needing a humidifier to needing a dehumidifier. This is happening when I really need to reduce humidity to around 50%. For some reason the portable air-con does not seem to be doing the trick. I'm guessing that the transpiration of the three plants and the soil(coir) moisture is just too much for the air-con to deal with. Had a dehumidifier in the room one day, but the heat produced was too much. Maybe I should run both! Ha Ha, not a chance!

It is all about reading the plant's pistils and trichomes. The pistils should be 90% + dry (usually an orange color) and the trichomes turning amber. I personally prefer ~20% amber when I harvest. Look at the buds (not leaves) through a good lupe and watch how fast they are changing; it is temperature related. The warmer it is the faster they will ripen to amber. You probably need a 7 day flush if you are using AN Flawless Finish (what I use).

So you are flushing AFTER you obtain about 20% amber trichomes?

No you need to judge the pace of the ripening of the trichomes so you start your flush 7 days before reaching 20%. A little over or under is no big deal but you do not want to go much past 30% or you start to get sleepy time weed. At 10% it is a little bit racy.

I guess it's time to start examining buds every day now so I can get a feel of the "pace." I actually may want some of my product to be "sleepy-time."
