Grow Mediums Cat tries the 1st Northern Lights grow in coco

I need to do a little more reading on P def and lockout, you mentioned this once before. I do test the run off and Ph going in is 5.8/out 6.0. The TDS is usually a little higher coming out than going in, around 300-400us/cm. As far as I can work out, staying within a 200-300us/cm range of nutes coming out is preferable. I have increased the bloom nutes lately and today I notice the purple stem is slowly turning green, from the main stem outwards. Maybe she wasn't being fed enough. It's difficult to work out exactly how much I should feed coz my tap water is a high EC, so following nute advice is difficult. I'm keeping a note of the nute schedule and will hopefully crack it on my second grow. Many thanks for your advice, appreciated
no problem brotha glad to help when i can

I've already posted this in the Infirmary section, but thought I'd also post it here in my journal

I've 2 x Northern Lights autos, 6 & 8wks old and growing in coco/perlite/canvas pots. They've been showing signs of phosphorus deficiency... I think... This might be due to not feeding enough nutes throughout their lives. Up until 10-14days ago, I only fed them 3ml calmag and 3ml Floranova bloom per 1 gallon of water. I've now increased the feed to 5ml calmag and 5ml bloom. This is a pic of one of the leaves that's gradually degenerated over the last few weeks and there are another handful of leaves starting to show early signs

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I've been watering with 20-30% run off every day. Ph going in is 5.8 and coming out 6.0 or 6.1. I've spent too much money on my tent lately and can't really afford a decent soil tester for the next few weeks, so need to work with what I've got.

If I flush these plants, how much water per plant should I flush with? How long before I should expect to see any improvement?

Firstly is it the old bottom leafs if so nothing to worry about she is just hungry and ate them if not and it's new leafs up top then Yip uve been feeding very little a gallon is 5 litres so really uve been given 1 ml per litre and before even less is that just a bloom feed if so she'll defo be hungry. Always remember if having to flush due to lockout ect flush with 2_3 times pot volume bro peace ✌

Hi Bailey. Yer I was also feeding her low levels of grow nutes before bloom and, yes, it is just lower/older leaves affected the most. The other leaves are newer, but all on the bottom, the rest of the plant looks okay. So, just to clarify, can you point me in the direction of a feeding schedule you follow? I have 12 litre pots, does this mean I should flush with 24L of water? Sounds a lot. Thanks mate for your help

I'm using floranova grow/bloom, although they're now on full bloom. I'm just not sure how much bloom I should use. Grow pot cheaply recommends 6-8ml bloom, but he uses RO water. I'm currently using 5ml bloom per 1 gallon of water and not sure if I should use more. I think you're right about not needing to flush. The leaves were prob damaged early in grow. Grow pot cheaply was just mentioning something similar on his latest video. Cheers mate...yum yum, getting closer to harvest:woohoo:
