day 5 from i put in soil im using a 400watt ge metealH...its about five feet above my girls,how do u think they look are they strecthing are do they look good!!! strains are russian rocket fuel and bllue h disiel...any onfo would be great

Budz is so right stretch is caused by not enough light and you need to get your lamp lower or your plants higher and closer to the light. 2 feet away is usually fine.

They do look a little stretched, not to bad though, why is your light so far away? I've never used MH but that seems to be to far, can you have the light about 18" above them and have your hand at the same height for a minute without it being uncomfortable and burn you?

if my grow room is 64 and with all my fans going the inside the tent temp gets about 75...is this correct i figured it would be hotter..am i losing hot air somewhere, i jus dont see how grow tent is pretty good, in order to get the temp to like 80 i have to use little 100 watt personal heater....is this normal or does it sound like my light is not running at fuill strength???i have a 400watt digital ballast though figured if it wasnt full strength it wouldnt even come on.....so in order to get inside tent 80 room must be 70 is this about right for 400 watt mh!any help would be great, hope everyone had a good day

baby are four or five days, not six....so when should i start adding nutes,day 7???also im using 3 gallon smart pots have watered twice since birth. how often should i water and how much, and do i add nutes every time,sorry for all the questions, but i want my kids to thrive, any help would be great!!!!

I'm surprised it's not hotter either. What size is your exhaust fan, sorry I don't remember? Maybe you're pulling the air out too fast. I run LEDs, which don't produce much heat. I've got my exhaust fan on a variable speed controller so I can slow it down or speed it up as needed. You might think about installing one. Would give you a little more control and flexibility.

When you start feeding depends to a degree on what's in your soil. Just went back through the whole thread and I don't see what soil or nutes you're using anywhere here. Let me know what your soil is and what nutrients you've got.

As to watering, learn to judge the weight of your pots when they are dry. When they feel light, give them enough so that you get some run off out the bottom. MJ like to dry out pretty good between waterings. Smart Pots also tend to dry out faster. Under a 400 watt light I would expect you'll be watering about every 3 days or so once the plants get bigger.

thanks muddy!!! to be honest with you im using desk fans and ghetto fabricated to work as intake and exhaust my exhaust is at top of tent is this wrong????(since heat rises) the heater is only 200 watts ansd seems to be doing the job...got it at 79.1 with no fan running threw air cooled tube in hood...how would i know if my light was not working properly working properly dosent hood and ballast regulate that....also have one of those air purifiers with uv and ionizer...dont know if that helps or not.

sorry muddy all that info is in my first time grow post(sorry). i mixed ff ocean forest with ff light warrior...nutes are as follows...ff grow big, big bloom and tiger bloom

I forgot you had the cool tube. Yes, exhaust up high, intake low. Even though you've got to supplement the heat a little now, that cool tube will sure be handy in the summer when the temps climb. Yes, the ballast controls the light. Unless it's noticeably dim it's probably working fine. Those are usually one of those things where either they work right or they don't work at all.
