Mephisto Genetics Canna-Cheese 1:1 medicinal automatics by mephisto

So extremely disappointing news is the plant's buds are completely yellow looking and not growing and continuing to die. The plant itself is perfectly fine and no issues noted anywhere except the buds. They look ok under the magnifying glass but not very healthy. I'm not sure it's a good idea to wait any longer. I'm considering culling it and restarting. Its disappointing losing this much time and yet another set back we again cant afford but I guess it comes with the territory. I'm just not sure what happened. I would hate to cull it and then come to find out it will live but I know how these things go, it's not going to have any buds, so it needs to be culled. So I'll be starting over. So day 1 will start over in a few days. Nothing but positive vibes on my end
I noticed that you had some pretty hit up/ old plants or clones in the back ground before. Is it possible that you have a mold or male pollen like @BCBudlady suggested? If you have anything rotten decaying, or super unhealthy looking you might want to clean up your tent of anything harmful. Also, look for any signs of pests. Good luck, slow

So sorry this did not go well for you. Plant looks so healthy otherwise. Think it is something like blossom end rot? Keep us posted. We learn together.
With my record, I would be suspicious that I accidentally seeded the plant, causing pistols to regress. Any chance?
Don’t get discouraged!
I'm going to reply to all of these together because I have a good idea of what happened
Sending good vibes your way missu :karmacloud:
Thanks!

So heres what I think happened. I had the hubby water the plants right before they started to go. Now what I think hapoened is he mixed something wrong with the nutrients and burned them because it looks kinda like p-k burnt the plant but a flush would not even have fixed it by then it was too late. So I think it was a case of nute burn focused on the new growth which is exactly what happened when I put azos and mykos in my last few grow around. I'm starting to think I've just always grown the really hungry plants and now I need to back off because the strawberry nuggets I havent taken much care of is doing just fine as is my little bonsai mother plant. So I'm coming to the conclusion, asos and mykos arent always good for autos... plus another reason I believe its nutrient issues is ny hubby said he used kool bloom granular when I told him not to. So now I'm learning more about what's going on... BUT ad this goes on, it does allow some real life banging around of plants. I know it's not what I wanted but theres always a round 2 3 4 and 5... I'll plant a sour crack where those other 2 were and let that new canna cheese grow like the wind.

That’s the spirit! Get back to growing. Oh, I’ve used azos, mykos and such. Just never found it helped in my set up.
You’ve grown some really great plants @MissUniverse , just a bump in the road.

If he used Kool Bloom granular alread, you found your answer. That shit is strong and if used too early is not beneficial. Good luck!

I've found it helps with roots organica and some strains like sour crack in dwc. But it seems some more recent strains have been breed to do better without lots or nutrients and without supplements and most soils are already pre amended properly which means less work for me :)
I'm keeping positive

That was my exact thought. He fried them. But live and learn, he learned a valuable lesson. And now I think I might make him grow these new plants with me and teach him how to do it so he can do it right and give him some space to grow it.

A 1 time dose shouldnt kill it, you may want to ride it out longer to see if you get anything, since its for medicinal reasons maybe yiu can see if it helps at all, even if it isnt perfect. Honestly, if you have room just see what it does for a week. Might snap out of it and give you a little relief in the end. Good luck!

I think you're right I have one week because I started the battle plants. What can it hurt on abtester too. I'm just always a bit too preemptive. Let's see how she does over the next week

I have noticed in the past that you are quick on making decisions and are a tad inpatient at times. I have learned to relax a little with Autos, because it is harder to control the outcome than photos. I try not to compare each Autos results from grow to grow. There are a ton of factors with Autos, and unlike clones, the results can vary from plant to plant and grow to grow. So our job as growers is to be as consistent as possible with as much as we can throughout each grow. An Auto plant in 2 gal of Soil wont be the same plant as in 5 gal DWC. The variety of seed starting alone is a huge factor in our results. Especially with F1 strains. I would keep that girl around and see what happens. You are already started, might as well ride it out another week and see what happens. Fwiw, it might be a slow flowering pheno? You could have just put a little bump in the road. My guess is that you will have a growth spurt and she will get back on track, but might need a little extra time to finish vs if you didnt stress it out. If it looks healthy, it might just need a week to snap out of it. The yield could be less, but if you get some relief for your husband it will be worth riding it out. By the time a new one gets that big, you will know if its gonna do anything positive. Good luck, slow

I am very snappy when it comes to decision making. But I also like to reason it out online with more experienced growers which is why I've kinda been blurbing out my ideas before I've done them so I get the feedback first. Figure it helps me get feedback on how my line of thinking needs to go with this ya know? And I really appreciate it! I flushed the plant last night too with 30 gallons of water and with 5 gallons of water ph'd to 6.2 and she has something of interesting growth now. She got a lot bigger leaves over night. So I might have been feeding too much myself too. I'm taking pics here to show you what it looks like
