Dinafem Bubba Kush & Blue Cheese 1'st Dina Grow

Never a problem Cat, we all had to start somewhere. So if we do bust out our hand calculator, AKA some converting website. We can see that 1.0 CFM converts to be 1.7 m3/h. So you would need to find something more around 616m3/h. A word of the wise. DO NOT rely on a booster type fan to run your tent. They do not have the power to keep up with a filter, and are only designed to help air that is already moving, not to actually move stale air. Propeller style fan do not have the needed pressure (unless it's a really expensive specialty fan). You need to use a centrifugal fan or a squirrel cage blower.

Bad design... Some people claim success, but it's a crap shoot at best. Don't skimp on the ventilation system, it's about 30% of whats needed to make thing work right. You don't need to go crazy either (although I do, ask about the micro cabs air flow some day), just be realistic.

Good design...
(centrifugal fan) Best choice.

Example of a propeller fan that would work, but is over priced for our needs. I would only use this if sound was an issue as it claims to be rather stealth. But at $144 for 6", it better be damn quiet. For the record, if I wanted a stealth fan, this is most likely what I would choose.

So I do not use a dehumidifier, but I have a LOT of air flow going on, and we run the AC at all times so I stay in a pretty consistent range of Rh. I have 2 fans circulating air in my tent and my exhaust fan is a bit overpowered for my cubic feet, and it runs at full power 24/7.

So what kind of medium are you growing in?

@tripaholic88 Sorry bud I know I often hijack your threads for this, but I'm just trying to keep the good word circulating! :pighug:
I totally agree on this do not buy cheap and low quality I made this mistake and my house was stinky my first grow it was the style in the first pic then I got a swift air centrifugal one like in the second pic and it's great wish I got this first time round

@tripaholic88 I do apologise, I'm new and still trying to get the hang of the forum, but I actually thought this was fuggzy's thread.

@Fuggzy Youy're a gem. I've kept a note of your recommendations. I like the look of the Vortex fan, but they're not so available in the UK, unless I want to pay in excess of £300. I did find one for around a £100/$144 and the shipping costs are £63 tut tut but it might be worth it if it's as quiet as they say. Your advice gives me something solid to work with while I do a little more research. I'm growing in coco/perlite

@Bailey Yes, I made the same mistake with the cheap fan scenario. It's doing an ok job at filtering smell (so far) but it's too noisey

Go on ebay and purchase the swiftair centrifugal extraction fan for £25 it's powerful and very silent only 23 decibels

Lol, it's no biggie Cat, I tend to do this to about all of Trips threads. It's all in the name of learning/teaching though, and thats the main reason most people are here. The herb is just a byproduct, haha. However, if you would like you can go to any of my threads in my signature, and we can chat there, your choice.
