Hey Growers


Yup...yup...Today it happened I found that brown/grey icky stuff between my buds...

And the more I looked, the more I found...

About 50% of the entire main cola was infested with the mold...

So, instead of trying to remove them moldy buds from an already infested plant, I decided to harvest what whas still good. On the floor the buds I lost during initial cleanup. The chickens will be happy once more

These are one of the lowest budsites...Look how encrusted these are...

Even the lowest part of this lady is just chockful with trichomes, even mr. bug agrees

Cry not my friends, over these rotten buds...Growing inside a greenhouse you either calculate this into your "planned" harvest methodology or you might just cry about it and smoke a bit less. In my case, I've been growing inside this greenhouse long enought to know that unless I top these ladies, so their main cola get's split up, I will always have mold. I have absolutely no control over the environment...It is what it is...

Never the less, I'm super stoked with my new harvest. For the moment the entire plant is hanging upside down in the shed, but later on this evening, I'll be trimming these buds up nice and tight before they get put in the drying rack inside the tent. That way I at least get to have some control in drying her correctly.

Next job, after this post, is to clean myself real good and then return to the greenhouse. During my previous stay I dared not to touch any other plant because of my sticky moldy fingers... "Where did I put that ISO..."
I did start with the Mephisto's Wedding and that one didn't have a speck of mold on her. So next is the Double Grape x Toof Decay which has to be checked...

Just finished trimming everything up nicely. All that's on the platter is primo bud and no sign of mold. Pulled every budsite open just to check.

It's now drying inside the tent at 54.3% humidity and 28.2°C/82.4°F. Had to open up the lungroom as this was the only way to get the temperature this low... But then again, it was 38.6°C/101.5°F in the shade at 1 o'clock.
Currently in the process of adjusting the extraction fan's speed to a level where the humidity is at 60% for the first days, so I can slow down the drying process. For tomorrow the weather forecast is predicting a heat storm in the afternoon, with a temperature drop of almost 10°C/20°F. So temperature and humidity hopefully won't be an issue by then.

Just back from the greenhouse checking them other ladies. None are showing any signs of mold, which is perfect!!
Mephisto's Wedding is looking super frosty.

The hind sister is slowing down her pistil production...

Nice and frosty nugs, but they are small...

Looks like the calyx's are starting to swell up.

I think I'm going to harvest this lady, snip of all them frosty buds and freeze them for a rainy day. So I can make me some bubblehash

Double Grape x Toof Decay has stopped her pistil producing factory.

The remaining pistils are turning green and start to shrivel away.

This hybrid is looking mighty frosty...

Trimming will be a breeze when the time comes. When sugar leaves are crusted like these I'm leaving them on the buds. "Just the tips"

The breeders are in their tray and finishing off. The buds are probably right, but I'm not keeping them for their buds, aren't I

Hey Friends,

Today one of my Dutch Passion girls came down and so another of the Mephisto girls was also ready to get the cut. Mephisto's Wedding (small and frosty) drew the short straw. Trimming her was a hell of a job. So many sticky leaves...My arm hair was glued to my skin...Aweful feeling...

The amount of frost on this girl is just plain out of this world.

I just removed the large fan leaves and left most of the sugar leaves.
Tomorrow evening I'll be trimming away on both ladies I cut down. Afterwards it's time for the drying net inside the tent.

Hey growers


Today it was trimming time. I have a late shift tomorrow, so I can sleep out and take my time tomorrow morning. While I'm writing this, I finished trimming everything up and putting it in the drying rack, which I love btw! But it did take me over two and a half hours to get here. My back is killing me, but a nice big fat joint with some scissor hash added to it will alleviate my pain, I'm pretty sure of it

I ended up with a nice peasized ball of hash, this is the first time I went to clean the scissors as leaves where starting to stick to it...

I'm leaving part of the stems, which helps in keeping them trichomes where they belong. Also, I hope this will extend the drying period as the Mephisto's Wedding x Coal Miner's Daughter was dry after only three days...I can say, she kicks ass...Currently this batch is curing inside a large jar with a humidity of 63%. But back to this lady...The final result before we go to the drying net inside the tent...

Missus congratulated me as she didn't smell anything in house while I was drying inside the tent. Might get her convinced to buy me a small drying tent?? Who knows

That's it for today my friends. I'm pooped and gonna toke some smoke

The next one on my kill list is this beautiful Double Grape x Toof Decay.

Her pistils are starting to shrivel away. Even though she's still pushing out several new ones on top. But I've seen this before and asume it has to do with the amount of nutrients which are still available because of the PK Booster Compost tea in combination with the Bio PK 5-8. Both are amazing products and can kick a plant in overdrive.

She's not as frosty as the Wedding or as was the Port & Stilton, but I already smoked a bud from the seed mother and I know that kicked my ass, so looks might be deceiving on this one you guys

Down lower there are still buds with plenty of fresh pistils...

Looking at the trichomes I'm calling it very, very close...Couple of days.

On the left side there are plenty of trichomes which are turning a more café-laté like color...

I have always felt that a trichome which has this darker white, almost yellow/green, is the ripest you can get it.
From then on it's downhill for the THC-A molecule...

She's so frikkin' close you guys, yup I'm calling it.

What is your opinion you guys?

What a construction our beloved plant makes, no? ♥

Gonna have some diner now and then to bed, luckily tomorrow is Friday and boy have I been looking out for it

She is sticky, she's greasy and rock hard...

This is gonna be a pleasure to trim @stan_mephisto. Just remove the fan leaves and trim the tips of the sugar leaves...

Finally this Mephisto's Wedding is starting to fill out. She'll probably need another week or maybe two. Yup, that's what I thought when I saw the bud pictures...

Have a look at them buds. Small as they are, the calyx's could not be more tightly packed with trichomes then these...

Since she's gonna be ready by the end of the month I'm going to let her have the time she needs, but she's coming down before August arrives

Hey Friends



Today (Saturday) the Double Grape x Toof Decay came down. I think she's given the highest return of all the ladies. Feel like I'm going to get me two jars of primo bud to enjoy in the coming months.

Trimmed all of them buds like this as we're after the trichomes my friends

Since there's so much of her, I'm probably going to press me some of this for later use.

All of a sudden it became to dark to continue inside the greenhouse...So I finished this bud and collected all my stuff and continued in the patio.

Also the Mephisto's Wedding buds where dry, so they got jarred up. Kinda disappointed in the return from this plant. Not in the amount of trichomes, as this plant produced so much of it!! It's just plain ridiculous
I am actually, while I'm writing this remembering that there's still an entire lower part of the plant which got pollinated and is still in the soil. So yeah, let me refrase my above conclusion. This plant is an amazing cultivar and I've enjoyed growing it. The smell is like vanilla creme filled waffles and she's absolutely covered in trichomes. The part of the plant that got harvested for my enjoyment gave me a very nice return and I still have four branches which need to get pulled from the soil, but I first need to go back in this thread and look up when exactly, I did pollinate those buds and then see when I can pull these from the soil.

Today I discovered the Mephisto's Wedding is more of a night time smoke. Lol
Wanted to do a comparison with the Mephisto Wedding x CMD which I was smoking yesterday and started this morning with a lightly rolled one. Which went in alright. Then the second, still ok. But then I woke up around 17:00hours and it seemed I lost an entire day. huh

Well, you get used to the smoke and it is definitely a night time smoke or if I need to relax...fast...then I'm going to this cultivar. I'm definitely sold on the value of the Mephisto's Wedding. I like it a lot and it helps me get into a deep REM sleep, which gives vivid dreams, but also give's you an almost energized feeling when you wake up, because you've slept so well... Anyway, I need to be sparce with these buds as I only have half a jar from this first plant...
The twin sister which was left behind in the pot is starting to fill out though...I can only hope the bud tastes the same...

Her pistils are telling us that she's doesn't have that far to go, but rather that I need to be patient.

On some of them buds the pistils have resided, but I want them trichomes to look as perty as those on the earlier sister.

Some of the lowest buds. I'm not going to look at these for reference, but just to show you I'm not cutting anything off.

The low branch from the smaller sister, which has a couple other branches which could have been harvested, but I really wanted to give them seeds the best start possible. And would rather sacrifice a couple of other budsites to do so...

I've got nice and cloudy trichomes to show, so we're not that far off...

Let me what you think, m'kay?

Next we have the seed mothers. If I would be smoking it, these buds would take me to cloud 7, me thinks.
