Bob's Journey into Hybridisation and Genetics - For Dummies

Hey guys,

Today I sowed another couple of seeds. But only one for the breeding project...The last seed I have from a company that doesn't exist anymore.

So...just before the downpour I went to the greenhouse and had a looksee at the younglings...Their tray is empty, but the pouches are stil wet so I didn't give any water. I'll probably have to go to the greenhouse later on today to transplant my Barney's Farm seedlings into their prepped pots and I'll check again if water is necessary

See you later :toke:

Hey fellow wannabreeders :smokeout:

I did a first culling today. Each pouch with two seedlings in it got the treatment as well as one that didn't get it's helmet off :naughtystep:

What kind of wire and controller did you use for the heatbed? Seems like a great way to extend our the season from the start and end a bit if needed.

Table seems to working like you wanted, good job.
Thanks buddy
Yes it is. For the time being it delivers enough, but I'm afraid when the days get shorter and colder it won't be sufficient and I'll have to make three (shorter) instead of two (longer) circuits.

This was the heater --> LINK (select "Electric No WiFi" as option)
And this the cable --> LINK (Select the length you need. In the 'description' you'll find how to calculate the length and power it delivers)

Returned to the greenhouse today as the tray the pouches where in hasn't been watered in two days. It wasn't necessary as the pouches are still wet...
And guess what I saw? Yup a couple of seedlings which weren't going to make the cut...

Only got one of this F1 cultivar left. Beginning to thing it ain't worth the trouble... But as we are learning I'm gonna keep her and try to get some seeds from her. :pass:

I did keep this one, but what do you think @Sawney_bean? Is this a genetic flaw?

Inside the tent the seven gentlemen are a bit outshined by the Night Queens, but that's ok. Yesterday evening I treated the lot again with STS, which was 9 days since the last treatment. Yup, I know that's to long a wait...:face:

But on the other hand I found a second plant that has started to form balls...
