Auto topping thread,pushing the auto limits;)

Good day growers im a master photo and auto grower.but my passion is with autoflower seeds.i been on a mission for 5 years growing now trying diffrent methods of training on autos to see what they truly behold.truth is autos aint no diffrent to a normal plant other than they flower on there own.u can top lst supercrop and defol autos with monster results if done at the correct time.oviously every plant is diffrent so always use the seed info as a rough guide and a short plant can yield just as much as a tall plant in this thread i will show u all along the way of the true limits of autos and there true potential as i grow them for u all to see.also if ur an auto grower who likes to push the limits,do speak up and all pics of ur autos and talk and all questions welcome on pushing the auto limits.here a few examples of the results achived topping an auto young followed by later lst.few heavy defols along the way ,gives u an army of dominant colas and a big heavy yield.and a beautiful plant.here is automazar topped and lstd

Im sure ive got a lot to learn here and looking forward to it. I dabbled a little some 35+ yrs ago, my how things have changed

first off, is there a way to tell if a plant is auto or photo ? I ask because before I got some magic beans, I started a couple of seeds from a bag of what I had smoked awhile back, not sure what there are, and now on day 46 with no signs of flower, is there a way to tell auto/photo, or
how long should I give it before turning back the light to induce flowering ? there's 2, one looks great to me, I missed the time for topping so I just triedmy first hand at some lst, it helped !!
but the second one seemed stunted from the get go, the stem seem to have a kink like in it from the start(?) Its a weird one(?)

any suggestions

Hello there, and welcome welcome!
You will undoubtedly learn lots here on AFN - it is an excellent place.

I would have to say the likelihood for bag seed is that it is a photo and unkown sex.
This said the plant does look healthy, and would happily accept topping and LST as it is still in veg - it is worth waiting to see if it is male or female before doing too much.
You will have to flip to 12/12 to see what sex it is and take it from there - after flip you can expect stretch so take that in to account when deciding when to do that.

And so here's my first (in 35+ yrs) official grow, And so I found this wonderful thread after I researched and gathered up soil and nutes
and went with Fox Farm, will change to the Autobeast method/recipe when I go thru this stuff, need to use it up first(maybe?).
I also got beans from ILGM(auto mix pack) but since finding this GREAT thread ,see maybe some better sources as in the actual breeders
so already got some Mephisto Genetics and looking forward to trying some others (sources/breeders) ive found/seen from this thread.

But for now( beside the 2 un-known in first post) , here's 2 Blueberry auto, 1 Amnesia Haze Auto
I feel they are looking right on course with AB method, 2 BBA's topped at day 16 and the 1 AHA topped today in fact at 18 days
Hoping for the best, they look great I think. Opinions welcomed.

No need of switching light cycle.if a bagseed.more likely to be a photoperiod plant.so the veg time is fully under your control.if u are on day 46.id say switch Ur light cycle to 12/12 and wait for flower to begin happy growing every1

I once grew a Northern light blue auto strain which indeed took about 6/7 weeks to start to bloom.i thought I had a photo.i switched to 12)12 and to bloom nutes.but still kept vegging.then started to bloom when it wanted to
A true auto it liked to veg for a long time.some auto strains do take longer than others.always use Ur seed info as a rough guide.if u not the position to switch.guess just have to wait and see.all the best from me.happy growing every1

I had a freebie bubble gum "auto" that never flowered. Finally on day 69 I put her on 12/12 light schedule and a week later she started flowering. I should have flipped the light schedule a few weeks earlier.
