Auto topping thread, pushing the auto limits;)

Good day growers im a master photo and auto grower.but my passion is with autoflower seeds.i been on a mission for 5 years growing now trying diffrent methods of training on autos to see what they truly behold.truth is autos aint no diffrent to a normal plant other than they flower on there own.u can top lst supercrop and defol autos with monster results if done at the correct time.oviously every plant is diffrent so always use the seed info as a rough guide;) and a short plant can yield just as much as a tall plant;) in this thread i will show u all along the way of the true limits of autos and there true potential as i grow them for u all to see;).also if ur an auto grower who likes to push the limits,do speak up and all pics of ur autos and talk and all questions welcome on pushing the auto limits.here a few examples of the results achived topping an auto young followed by later lst.few heavy defols along the way ,gives u an army of dominant colas and a big heavy yield.and a beautiful plant.here is automazar topped and lstd;)

thanks for your reply - dont't know what is lbh though? the plant looks very nice. which kind of auto is that. what is the climate like, where you live?
La buena hierba. Plant shown is their blueberry haze auto in a pot outdoors in Denmark at 55N. It can be cold in the spring, summers are short and we get a lot of rain in early autumn.

thanks for your answer. Denmark probably has cooler weather than in my place, but more sun hours in summer. so in that climate you topped your outdoor autos. the plants I'm will growing officialy only need about 70 days. don't know if that's long enough. Maybe i will top one and LST the other.

In my case I only top longer running autos like from the companies mentioned earlier.
With faster autos like from mephisto, dutch passion, fast buds etc. there's no point topping in my situation and climate so usually I do not do it with those. But it can be done and it is fun to experiment.
BTW if the seller/breeder says 70 days to finish, I would expect a couple more weeks to finish on top of that outdoors.
Good luck!

Been doing it for 7+ years. I learned from @Autobeast before we were on AFN.

Have fun!

Looks really great and it makes so much sense indoors where you can control every part of the environment. Outdoors in viking land I find that topping the faster autos doesn't make a big difference in yield even if done right, but it can introduce a risk of stunting the plants a bit if the weather + timing is against you, that's why I try not to. Some LST and tying down the main stalk works fine if it's a matter of keeping things discrete.
Just my experience growing under not very optimal conditions, ymmv etc.

Will be doing this from now on... I was cutting the 4th node... Now I know above the 4th node..... Thanks...

Make sure your bottom 2 branches/nodes are strong ones m8.. if not I would take them off and top above the 5th set of nodes so u have 8 good strong mains.. I found that my 5th set of nodes/branches was always a lot stronger than my 1st set.. just a tip
