Auto topping thread, pushing the auto limits;)

Good day growers im a master photo and auto grower.but my passion is with autoflower seeds.i been on a mission for 5 years growing now trying diffrent methods of training on autos to see what they truly behold.truth is autos aint no diffrent to a normal plant other than they flower on there own.u can top lst supercrop and defol autos with monster results if done at the correct time.oviously every plant is diffrent so always use the seed info as a rough guide;) and a short plant can yield just as much as a tall plant;) in this thread i will show u all along the way of the true limits of autos and there true potential as i grow them for u all to see;).also if ur an auto grower who likes to push the limits,do speak up and all pics of ur autos and talk and all questions welcome on pushing the auto limits.here a few examples of the results achived topping an auto young followed by later lst.few heavy defols along the way ,gives u an army of dominant colas and a big heavy yield.and a beautiful plant.here is automazar topped and lstd;)

I have tried to select shorter or medium sized plants.

Intention was to train the hell out of them so I am not worried too much about height. You can see I have planted to one side and planned on pinning the main branch multiple times around the pot.

As to topping I am just recovering from a tough season outdoors so I am terrified of stressing and stunting. Had one Hermie on me and I believe it was because I cracked a main stem in early flower attempting to bend it over a little too late.

I'll keep following and chime in when I am close to a decision. Have a week or two... Just 4 days old now...
indoors is nothing like outdoors. and topping an auto at the correct time. does not stunt growth or effect growth of any young strong auto in anyway. just makes the plant grow a different structure. happy growing;)

Autos really don't like too much stress but they can handle a topping no problem if done properly, the secret is only topping healthy plants and doing it early enough, doesn't really stunt their growth like you'd think, just slows them a bit for a day or two. With LST be careful not to bend too much at a time, go slow and gentle and never bend 90 degrees.

Here are the 2 Brooklyn Sunrise autos that i posted pictures of in this thread, i topped a week ago at day 15, they just started on day 23 and i expect them to hit the stretch somewhere around day 25(according to breeder). The progress has been nice and steady so far, have been training them for the past 4-5 days.

EDIT: Left one decided to throw in a bonus or two :D

good day growers hope all is well. so my flowering topped ladies are in full bud mode now. just had there first bloom feed. look very happy and budding strong. then the left sife of the tent. these 2 topped ladies are still in veg mode. just shown sex. so very promising for some big ladies. still got the vipar leds on veg setting. just raised the lights. they really do give some solid veg growth and only on half power. obviously the 100w migro cob helps alot throwing in alot of white to the veg spectrum. really working great for me. so no money was wasted when i had to buy these lights.i did do my research first. did pay off;) well here some pics

topping an auto at the correct time. does not stall growth or effect growth in anyway at all. either does lst if also applied at the perfect time. done grow after grow to prove this. autos can take alot of what growers call stress. but cnt be any stress about it if u get a bigger plant. fact is an auto is like any normal plant other than it flowers on its own. u can top lst defol, supercrop if needed. and supercropping is the only thing that will slightly stall flower of an auto. but sometimes. needs must. happy growing every1 ;)

good day growers hope all is well. so all 4 plants got a heavy defol on sunday after there pics. some solid vertical growth now from the vegging ladies and the flowering girls budding fast;)

Figured I should stop by and say thank you @autobeast for this awesome thread on topping autos.
I finally got up the nerve to do my first grow and be done with scumbags...
Without your easy to follow instructions and journals I don’t think I would have even considered topping on my first grow, but now I have topped all my girls and they look like they could become monsters!
Anyway thank you man you’re a legend.
Bill.

@autobeast Do we count the first true single leaves as the first node?

12 days in on these girls...

When should I be considering snipping them?
