Auto topping thread,pushing the auto limits;)

Good day growers im a master photo and auto grower.but my passion is with autoflower seeds.i been on a mission for 5 years growing now trying diffrent methods of training on autos to see what they truly behold.truth is autos aint no diffrent to a normal plant other than they flower on there own.u can top lst supercrop and defol autos with monster results if done at the correct time.oviously every plant is diffrent so always use the seed info as a rough guide and a short plant can yield just as much as a tall plant in this thread i will show u all along the way of the true limits of autos and there true potential as i grow them for u all to see.also if ur an auto grower who likes to push the limits,do speak up and all pics of ur autos and talk and all questions welcome on pushing the auto limits.here a few examples of the results achived topping an auto young followed by later lst.few heavy defols along the way ,gives u an army of dominant colas and a big heavy yield.and a beautiful plant.here is automazar topped and lstd

Hey guys, I am on my 2nd auto grow, same strain as grow #1, and grow #1 was a pretty low yielder. (I was however a first time grower on round 1)

I have grown a few photo grows since auto grow #1, so I know a bit more now but I am either just a really impatient wuss, or there is potentially something wrong.

I know a picture would help alot, and I will work on one as soon as I am near a camera, but in the meantime I am just curious if anyone has ever grown Blue Amnesia XXL? I have read nearly every page of this thread because I can never learn too much, but lets get to my question.

I have 2 plants, each under their own 1200w Bestva LED. They both broke soil about 9 days ago now, and they look healthy as can be. Green, standing up straight, perfect (but little) leaves...the only problem is they're about 3 inches tall at absolute best, thinnest stem ever, and the leaves are very very minimal. Am I just being an impatient wuss? I see alot of you guys topping at day 15 and what not, I dont see myself being able to top in 6 days, there's no way, unless they magically skyrocket overnight.

I gave them 1/4 the reccommended dose of some general organic nutes, and from what I've read here that was far too early. Is that likely my issue?

My question is, 9 days, 3 inches...

1) is that something to worry about? and 2) will I have any chance in hell of topping?

Edit: And while I've got your attention, the 1200w has a decent coverage area, and I'm only growing 2 plants. Is there any real need for the 2nd one to be on? Is 2 always better than 1, or are 2 of the same light only going to increase coverage area and not much else?

hi and welcome. thanks for the kind words. all autos are diffrent, some phenos big and small. maybe just slow starters. but that dont stop u topping an auto. u got till day 20 to top. so defo just wait. they will soon take off. defo a pic would help. but dont be disheartened. keep me updated. best of luck and happy growing

Yeh definitely ok for 9 days thay will take off like a rocket,just remember different trains etc grow at different rates etc not a massive difference in growth rates but enough to notice slightly in growth rate...some feed light nutes at day 7 to 10 but if your nuts are at 1/4 strength thats should be fine at day 9....but make sure your ph is good and soil ph is good....it should be fine.your lighting sounds like is a powerful light i dont know much about them but makes sure thay are not too close as that can cause slow growth...happy growing.

Just updating... 5 weeks in and these girls are bushes now doing a great job filling the tent.

Looking like about 30 tops between the two of them, and I am hoping my light can make em grow.

Fastbuds Fastberry on the right which flowered at 30 days and the Smoothie on the left just showed Pistils. She is gonna be a beast with all this extra veg. Don't think I will be able to keep up this perfectly even canopy. Lol

if its healthy then yes but never top a sickly plant it will stunt it but i top all my girls and i learnt most about topping in this thread
