Auto topping thread, pushing the auto limits;)

Good day growers im a master photo and auto grower.but my passion is with autoflower seeds.i been on a mission for 5 years growing now trying diffrent methods of training on autos to see what they truly behold.truth is autos aint no diffrent to a normal plant other than they flower on there own.u can top lst supercrop and defol autos with monster results if done at the correct time.oviously every plant is diffrent so always use the seed info as a rough guide;) and a short plant can yield just as much as a tall plant;) in this thread i will show u all along the way of the true limits of autos and there true potential as i grow them for u all to see;).also if ur an auto grower who likes to push the limits,do speak up and all pics of ur autos and talk and all questions welcome on pushing the auto limits.here a few examples of the results achived topping an auto young followed by later lst.few heavy defols along the way ,gives u an army of dominant colas and a big heavy yield.and a beautiful plant.here is automazar topped and lstd;)

can someone confirm the node count for me? @autobeast

20190915-070429.jpg

is she going on 4th? (counting 1st set of leaves above the "circle" ones)

- i think shes a little small (compare to what ive seen around here) but do you think that she should be ok with topping?

Figured I should stop by and say thank you @autobeast for this awesome thread on topping autos.
I finally got up the nerve to do my first grow and be done with scumbags...
Without your easy to follow instructions and journals I don’t think I would have even considered topping on my first grow, but now I have topped all my girls and they look like they could become monsters!
Anyway thank you man you’re a legend.
Bill.

welcome dude and thanks alot for the kind words.congrats on ur first grow, always exciting times. glad to be of help anytime. and top work on ur topped lady autos. best of luck. may ur harvest be heavy with big fat nugs;) happy growing every1 ;)

@autobeast you have me seriously considering topping my two fastbuds ladies when the time comes. This thread is awesome and a real confidence boost for guys like me on the edge.

I def will be doing a ton of training and quite honestly have limited space so I am not sure that topping is the best idea.

I have a Fastberry and Smoothie from Fastbuds just a few days old and they are in 3 gallon fab pots in a 20" x 36" tent. Only gives me 18" x 20" each so not sure how bushy I want them.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and if there is some instructional content you have posted can you link to it? Page number.in this thread?

Pic of setup below...

Thanks!

I have tried to select shorter or medium sized plants.

Intention was to train the hell out of them so I am not worried too much about height. You can see I have planted to one side and planned on pinning the main branch multiple times around the pot.

As to topping I am just recovering from a tough season outdoors so I am terrified of stressing and stunting. Had one Hermie on me and I believe it was because I cracked a main stem in early flower attempting to bend it over a little too late.

I'll keep following and chime in when I am close to a decision. Have a week or two... Just 4 days old now...
