New Grower Auto Hydroponics Help?

needs to be 5.8 if we are on about chemical hydroponics here
Rockwool should have been phd at 5.4 or lower

hold on you switched to soil that fair enough i would ph a touch higher to at least 6.5 as the buffer in soil will bring ph lower again

That could very well be your problem, watering them every day. Only water when the pots feel light. Get a feel for them when they are dry and then water them thoroughly so that about 10% runs out the bottom. Capture some of that run off and test it's pH. That will give you a good indication of your soil pH. I would expect the nutrients in that soil to be exhausted in 3-4 weeks, not 6. So next watering I'd start them on 1/4 strength veg nutes.

Hi Muddy, I've only given them bubbled water and @ 6.3 PH. I've also watered them daily but with only small amounts and around the root zone. No nuts as the soil mix has up to 6 weeks of fertilizer??

Thanks Agito and Muddy, I've drenched the soil several times with water (left to dry out completely) PH @ 6.4 and tested the run off and it's at 6.5. I'll do as you say and let them suck up what's left before next watering. I'll also look into some soil nuts this week.....Any suggestions/recommendations on this would be much appreciated???

what are your goals? grow ethic etc..

@ Agito,

Just read your thread on "Fish Mix"....Will be getting some tomorrow!

lol you cant have everything
yield chemical will alway produce but its not very forgiving and maybe should have started in a chemical based soil you might be able to use your hydro nutes (check packet)
if i was going to go for a chemical soil id go for one thats made for it like canna terra or vitalink earth

if going organic for taste and easier crops as you've got organic soil biobizz will be an obvious choice there new formula grow has now been approved start to finish i would just buy 1l of that and give it a go. If your media contain no beneficial fungus i would buy some of that as an add some of that. then on grow 2 add bloom if you wished but I would keep it simple as possible first

I see your from the UK as well lol

Thanks for the info agito,

I know....in the UK we cant have everything, but life is better here than in certain places at the moment. I'll stay put for now anyway.

:peace: NebbUK

Update on Critical + @ 38 Day's. She's coming on nicely after a few drawbacks with over watering. Got the "Biobizz Fish Mix" and will be adding that with the next watering :)
