Hey Need! I know. I'll be down messing with the girls and tokin' on a doobie and just start singing some old tune that has to do with whatever I'm spacing on. They just pop in my head. Ha ha! This dude loves his music. I'll have to come up with a good one for you!

Peace out man! Here's an old trippy tune for you! RS

Hmmmm I can't settle on just one....

Thanks for the trip back to yesteryear bro! I was too young to go totally psychedelic, but I do remember pissin off my brothers when they would catch me "borrowing" their tunes, lol

Definately a mutant plant...

Believe it or not these two plants are the same strain... On the top is a nicely maturing Auto Berry (Roxanne)... On the bottom is her twisted sister Carrie. Yes, Carrie was a twisted mutant at birth maybe it's just me, but she looks a lot more Sativa and deeper shade of green than her sister's strain appropriate indica looking, blueish green leaves... Can't wait to try a smoke!!!

Afternoon Rhyce, it is pretty common to see some different phenotypes from a batch of seeds. First time I grew Autoberry I had a indica and a sativa pheno. Very different effects. Here is a link to that grow if you are interested.

Way cool Olds! Now that I'm thinking about this, just about everything I grow occasionally has an odd ball... I guess that's what gets us our different strains over time... Verrry interesting... LOL

Just like breeding cats! My genetic knowledge is coming back to me a little. I used to breed cats so I'm trying to map the knowledge over to what you are telling me. I get it.

Since all autoflowers are hybrids Ruderalis, indica, and sativa and most have not been stabilized over many generations there are always surprises and that is one of the things I like about them. I have had my share of pleasant surprises due to that fact

I'm with you on that! These little babies, while challenging in their own right are so rewarding with so many strains, colors, sizes and SURPRISES! It's a dream! I can't wait to tuck a few away in my gardens this summer. They'll blend right in!

I use to breed walking horses RS and as soon as I started reading about genetics and seeing F1 I started remembering Allan F1. For me, F stands for foundation as in "foundation sire," I use to own a 5th generation stud by this original foundation sire.

Tale of two tents cont'd...

I got a couple of things today to further tweak my grow room. One was a new commercial grade stand up sprayer with hose so I can spray the soil with water or nutes with a high level of precision and accuracy. Not only that but now I don't have to bend over to spray the plants. Rather necessary when tending to 12 plants at a whack. :ladies:

The other was to solve a problem I created when I expanded my operation. With one tent in the room I had a lot of control over humidity. When I added the second tent for flowering and in anticipation of a real huge White LSD or two, I bought another larger tent to use for flowering. The only problem was that when my first crew started flowering and I needed to get the humidity down in that room alone and keep humidifying the other. I had taken out the first humidifier I got because it was taking up room in the veg tent and I was always filling the friggin thing.:slaps:

Instead I got a ten gallon one that could blast the whole room to steam bath... It made it real easy to dial in on the humidity and only has to be filled once a week. But because the two were in the same room and the friggin filter fans in each were whirring like jet engines, it was next to impossible to keep a 5% difference between the two.

With the suggestion of another member and some of my own location specific improvisation, I've got this sucker DIALED IN!!!!!!!!!! :d5:

All I had to do was buy a few things that were well worth the investment for the level of control I now have over the humidity. One was a speed regulator for the 4 inch fan in the veg tent to slow it down so it's not spewing humidified air out at 175 miles an hour, just gently moving it through instead. The other was a ten foot shower curtain rod, 2 cheap curtain liners and 24 curtain rings. I put it up, plugged in the motor, cranked the humidifier, pulled the shower curtains cutting the room in half and cracked the door to the rest of the basement to suck in 25% humidity air. Now I can have up to a 30% difference in humidity between the two rooms. Veg tent is now 65% day and 75% night. Flower is now 40% day and 48% night.

Far out man! I've also added a new lights on ritual which is to open the outside window and pull the shower curtain, equalizing the whole room for a short period and exchanging the air with new fresh air. It takes about 30 minutes for the two areas to adjust back to their respective humidity levels afterward. Now that's nice. Another little project that I'm glad I tackled.

This video shows the what I am talking about.

Finally! A stoner moment bright idea that works! Ha ha ha!!! :Clever Sh*te:

P.S. In the summer I'll do the same thing but in reverse, using a de-humidifier instead.

Just a quick update on this - It took some tweaking. Fan speed of the humidifier in the humid area (behind the shower curtains) and the in-line fan speed in the humid/veg tent needed to both be set on low. I opened a door to the dry side of the room letting in 25% air from the rest of the cellar. Winding up with 60-70% RH in the veg tent and 38-42% RH in the Flower tent.

If I want lower RH in the flower tent as they mature, I might try one of these.

Woah! I missed this one. Yes I remember my cat breeding days. I bred both Himalayan and Devon Rex... Rhyce is a Devon Rex. I stopped breeding many years ago when I got two Grand Championships for my Devon Rex 'Sal J - Zippity Do Da of Jay Dee'....aka Zippy for short.

Gotta love that animal husbandry! It was a great write off while it lasted. 50k worth of shows and hotels...
