Dinafem Atulip Gets Critical+ - Organic Soil

Yeah been following growmau5, and Greengenes with his PLC. Spectrum King are looking amazing too, bit pricey for me right now but I'm convinced that spectrum is the one. Thanks for the links, had not seen he modded Mars units, very cool indeed.

Definitely cheaper if you can DIY. Since I reused the drivers, fan, case, I'm only in this light for about $180, and I overpaid by using mouser. I was looking to purchase one originally, but the prices are ridiculous.

I posted up a thread of the build and at the bottom I have some lux readings comparing this light, a Mars 300, and a 600w hps. Not perfect but gives a good idea how these Cree Cobs perform.

This is certainly a subject where I can lear a lot. As I said im looking at led,s so still learing the terminology. This looks to be the right place to learn about led,s for growing as there is tons of valuable information on this forum.

I will have a good read around and watch a few of the recommended videos. Thank you all!. Very much appreciated.

All the best

D-M.

Hey atulip thank you very very much for the video. Now I will be over in youtube land watchin videos on this and learning all I can. I have 3 leds right now and only use 2. But I will be making my grow space bigger very soon and I am VERY INTERESTED in cob and DIY. Cause cob lights are to damn expensive for me

They can be made fairly cheap. Cutter.com.au has top bin Cree cobs for around $50 each, with a big enough order it covers the ~$50 shipping. A lot of people use Jerry @ kingbrite through Alibaba, same shipping costs though.

Thinking about cutter and just doing 8x cxb3590 72v 4000k in my large tent. They have the DB bin for ~$50 usd. It's the only 72v one they carry apparently. Might go for the cxb3070 36v 3500k BB bin they have. Actually only $30 ea for them, 4 per fixture, very comparable costs and running at lower amps would actually put out a bit more light. Now I've got more shopping to do lol.

Training update

27 days from seed

I figured I'd have a little fun with training these girls. Yellow is getting ponytail training, green got topped, and orange gets left alone. They all got water only(with Epsom salt) today, normal feedings resume next week.

Yellow is getting ponytail training. Tying the top leaves up and dropping the light closer to get the lower growth to catch up with the top growth. Mars 300 LED is 7" from the top, and she will receive this for the full 18 hours every other day for a week or so. Thanks @A-Train and @Chester for sharing this technique. I'll see how the biggest girl responds.

Green got a nice clean topping. I'd normally top a node or 2 earlier, but oh well.

Orange, the runt of the 3, gets nothing.

Yeah and I wanted to increase the duration and see how she takes it. I did 6 hours when I used this technique before, but did it every day instead of every other day this time.
