Dinafem Atulip Gets Critical+ - Organic Soil

No problem. I like experimenting with different grow styles and techniques. I'm a fan of topping autos(I like shorter easier to manage plants) also, but I'm thinking most with short veg periods don't respond too well.

Ponytail training I picked up from A-Train and he picked it up from Chester, that's the only places I've seen it. I first did 6 hour sessions, with this Critical I'm doing 24 hours every other day and it may be a bit too much. She always looks crinkly the next day when I let her down. We'll see how she turns out.

In my experience this is how some of the best techniques are found out by one person daring to try something different and this by the look of things works really well. Im very surprised ive not seen this technique before. Very interesting and I will certainly try this at some point.

Day 33 from seed

Brought them out for a little follow-up of our training.

Yellow looks great. I think that's all the ponytail she will need. From here on I'll start fan tucking(tucking top fan leaves below lower growth to encourage more bushiness).

Green has fully recovered. Took to the topping really well.

Orange, the runt, is coming along nicely. She's really not too far behind the others.

Meant to get this up yesterday but I got busy.

Day 38 from seed.

1.5x strength Grow feeding. Just now seeing the first preflowers(Day 35 above soil), a nice long veg period. I'm ready to move them to the closet but I've got some photoperiods pushing 10weeks now. Looking like at least another week or 2 before I can get them under these Cree Cobs. So bright I have to turn the camera brightness all the way down to get a picture. If I stick my hand under these lights the reflection is so bright it hurts my eyes. :D

Oh and this is ~240w at the wall total fellas. Bright as a mofo.

Yellow is still the biggest and the bushiest. Just moved her under the 600w HPS. Very bushy and compact. First to show preflowers. She's getting fan tucking training from here on and that will be it.

Green looks great. The HPS has helped keep her height almost even with yellow(leds). I'd normally start tying her down at this point but I want to try and keep this canopy somewhat even.

Orange not much vertical but she's getting wider. Not seeing preflowers yet, May move her under the hps and get a bit more height out of her. She's only 2-3 inches shorter though right now, and with no preflowers yet she may have a bit longer veg.

That is super bright but the plants took very healthy and vibrant so great job :toke: . I have only been really looking at led grows and I must say that I am very impressed at how low but bushy these plants get under led as apposed to hps/mh bulbs, very impressive and thank you for the picture updat very much appreciated.

Day 45 from seed

They're all a bit thirsty. I let the reservoir dry up this week to encourage root growth. They just got a heavy feeding and should perk back up shortly. Fed 5mL Grow, 7mL bloom, 2mL Root, 1mL bud, 3mL weed, 2mL Marine, 10mL CaMg per gallon. That's right, a little of everything, might be too strong but let's see how they respond.

Green, Yellow, then Orange

I was hoping to have them under the new LEDs now but my photoperiods are looking like another 2 weeks in flower(12 weeks) a bit past the breeder listing of "7-8 weeks".

Got some White Widow XXL x3 after these, should be the first full grow under the new leds. Then I'll need to put an order in whenever you release those CBD strains. :D

Day 52 from seed

Regular strength Bloom feeding for all of them. 10mL Bloom, 2.5mL Bud, 5mL CaMg. Highest point is right at 18 inches tall.

Yellow(ponytail trained) looks like she should produce the biggest yield.
IMAG1323.jpg

Green(topped) has the best looking structure, open, good airflow, and light should hit inside a bit more and get us fatter buds down below.
IMAG1324.jpg

Orange(natural) she was a runt to begin with but she bushed up nicely on her own.
