Dinafem Atulip Gets Critical+ - Organic Soil

I've been mostly just using cal mag, but Epsom salts are dirt cheap. I dump 1-4 tsp/gallon. I started it on these girls cuz it looks like Mg Def already. These leds drain Mg like crazy.

It's just magnesium sulfate, so it's good for sulfur and magnesium.

I would go with one or the other not both as it could give to much cal/mag imo . So growing under led,s tend to use up more cal/mag in the plants?, good to know for future reference

All the best

Epsom salt is great and really cheap. It's hard to over do the Mg, I haven't needed Calcium in this soil yet, just the Mg.

And yeah, most purchasable LEDs eat through cal mag. I've read that it's the lack of green and yellows that cause the plant to need more of certain nutrients to stay healthy.

Planning to get my closet reworked to Cree Cobs next week, two cxb3590 3000k and 2 4000k at 200w total. And the Criticals should be in there in 2 weeks(if my photoperiods finish). Should be a nice all around spectrum, and increase ppfd to ~875 with less watts at the wall.

If you're really interested in LED, give COB leds a look. Planning to have all my grow space under them. Working on putting one together now. Everything I've read on them is hugely promising. Better full spectrum, highest efficiency chips available, and better spread than most red/blue LEDs. The lumens per watt is higher than HPS(150lm/watt with brand new bulb, 600w), and you can factor in height also, I run 600w at 24", most people are running cobs at 12" above canopy.

DIY is turning out pretty easy, but some companies have cob models for sale. I'd look for one that uses either Cree or Veros. I know Tastyled.com has some high quality cob fixtures for sale. pacificlightconcepts.com is the other I know of with pre made cobs, also high quality.

Gotta finish wiring but I'm running 2 x cree cxb3590 72v 3000k CB bin on the existing Mars 55-100v .7A drivers(2 in the ebay Mars 300w model), one on each driver. The 12v fan will be on one driver combined with a 3590. The other driver will have a 3590 and 2 x cxa1512 18v 6500k to be ran in series-parallel, mainly to use available voltage and up the blue in this light. 2 x cxb3590 3500k would be ideal, but I wanted to run a 3000k light and my next one, 5000k, together in my closet.

@camo420grow check growmau5 on YouTube if you're interested in cobs. He has a 6 vid series for diy led basics, amazing info.

@Dazed I'm looking for that super efficiency from these things. I can increase light output and cut my power consumption in half if all goes well.

Damn she's bright.
