anyone dealing with unusual heat?

ah ok.

Yah in general autos are pretty tough due to the rud genetics. But they sure dont like to be over watered. If you want stuff that can survive high heat, look at what people are doing in AUS.

Or AZ/NV/CA for a legal market.

Fast Buds lists out their best outdoor strains in this article. Of my outdoor garden, I have only two Purple Lemonade remaining. Racoons and grasshoppers decimated the rest of my seeds and plants. I am ordering Orange Sherbet to try next. Typically your Sativa dominant plants are more acclimated to the heat and equatorial climates.

we are looking at a heat wave in NY next 3 days ,
mid 90's actual temps feels like 100 plus, seems Dam cool compared to the west coast.
My girls are coming out of the direct sun light between 12pm & 4pm and sitting on the edge of the shade line next few days.

That's one of the benefits of growing in pots vs the ground, you can move them if you need to. I go back and forth on that, each method has advantages and disadvantages. This year I'm all in pots but growing in a structure that is protecting them from moths/bud worms, so I can't move them out, but I can cover the structure.

We're having another (not record breaking) heatwave, I've never dealt with heat like this towards the end of flower before. I'm seeing foxtailing and some odd growth, not sure what it's going to do to the terpenes. My structure is at about 106º right now and climbing. It probably won't get over 110º, today's high is only supposed to reach 100º. Tomorrow between noon and 5pm I'll need to black it out with a tarp, we're supposed to get a high of around 105º. Today I just have a shade on it that reduces the temps. It's been one hell of a summer.

Dam Rob your cooking over there, Oh yeah so glad i'm growing in air pots placed in milk crates.
between the heavy down pours and the extreme direct sun light it makes it a lot easier to move the girls out of harms way.

Yeah, the structure I built is holding more heat than I thought it would. I just went out and threw an old moving blanket over the top and west sides, the temps dropped 4º in minutes.

I respect pots, but the plants I've grown in the ground on average were twice as big. That's kind of a big deal with plant count limits. Also, in the ground makes watering much easier. But then there's the drawbacks, and there are big ones when mobility is lost. So we choose our compromises, it's all good.

Everyone I know growing in ground having a problem with growth do to all the heavy rain.
Is there Any way you can get a fan blowing through your structure if you don't have one already,
I was thinking a structure open on all sides with a black screen maybe doubled as a cover from the sun !

It's crazy how different all of our grow environments are. We get almost no rain in the summer, and lots fall/winter/spring. I've got several fans going. The structure is mostly open on all sides, except it's covered in bug screen (which is white and does not absorb heat), but even that screen cuts the movement of air in and out to some degree, in this case, trapping heat.
