Anthro, you got some sweet stuff going on over here. Some good ideas too.

I'm anxious to hear how your cured Auto Blueberry turns out. I had photo Blueberry only once, it was the best 1 hit smoke I ever had and I've been looking forward to growing the auto version. Up until recently My bean selection has been limited to other "Blue" strains so I was thrilled when DP Auto Blueberry became available to me for my first run of 2015. Now I find out here there is another also available , giving me a choice to make.
Maybe I'll get both to compare them side by side.

That sounds like an interesting combo Velveto, it's worth a shot at least. Thanks Feenix, the auto blueberry has been good growing so far, but I can tell the yields will be low. But, I sourced those seeds from ILGM, and it was cheap at $35 shipping included for 3 seeds, but I wouldn't use them again. I would recommend sourcing the auto blueberry from a better genetic source like Dutch Passion I think has a nice one. The good news, I haven't sampled it yet, but I can just tell it will be halfway strong. Not 1-hit strong, but it just has all the right markers for it, particularly a strong scent and a good coating of crystals.

Today the babies get Anthro's not-so-secret ingredients haha! With pics as follows:

When the plants are past the seedling stage I like to lay down a super topdressing with what would be enough nutrition, vitamins, and minerals to last the rest of the grow. These ingredients are also layered into the pot soil when planting, but I give em one more good source on top so it will leech down a little with each watering.

Stage 1: I dress with two teaspoons of Cottonseed meal from Epsoma, two teaspoons of Kelp meal from Epsoma, a teaspoon of powdered seaweed fertilizer, a heaping teaspoon of greensand, a couple teaspoons of earthworm castings, a teaspoon of Azomite rock, and a pinch of epsom salts.

Stage 2: break out the lab coat and mad scientist glasses! I've spent considerable efforts to source pure natural minerals which plants need, and since they are indeed naturally occurring minerals, I don't believe this violates the "organic" ideals, but this is definitely pushing the envelope. (lame disclaimer lol: I don't think I can safely recommend the following unless you have some at least basic knowledge of chemistry and/or biology, and hopefully some lab experience in school lol. You could theoretically hurt yourself and easily ruin yer plants by using too much.)
Anyways, by adding the following, I eliminate the chance for deficiencies later on. Sure enough, I haven't seen any since implementation.

What we have here are: pure chelated Iron, triple Boron, pure Zinc powder, Gypsum rock powder, and halfway pure black Lignite. As mentioned, I layer these in also. You can see how healthy and beautiful the adults Bubblegum, Red Poison, and Blueberry are with these additions :)

Now with minerals and metals of this purity, using less is better than using more lol. I dress carefully with: about a half a teaspoon of Iron, about a half teaspoon of triple Boron, a teaspoon of lignite, and about a fingernail size amount of Zinc. Care should be taken with the Zinc, it is extremely finely powdered. I make sure not to get it or the Iron on my skin or directly on the plant. The Boron and Lignite are halfway safe to handle, but you still don't want it on your skin. I use a little plastic teaspoon.
With the minerals added:

And then I add another half inch to inch of soil :)
IMG_20141014_085951.jpg
And spray off the leaves with water just to wash off anything which may have gotten on a leaf. That's it! Sourcing pure minerals isn't too hard these days, just gotta poke around the web. The Zinc powder could be tricky, I got mine from MFT (Metal Flake Technologies). Ok that's it for now, thanks for stopping by my crazy corner :)

Everything going beautifully and smooth sailing, especially considering the wild variety of strains here lol! Picture update:

Red Poison girl has used up the bottom 2/3 of big fan leaves, and the last third is yellowing quick, and very cool that the bud leaves are changing colors too :) starting to show the purple underneath as the green recedes.

One special thing to note is that the lower "popcorn" buds that are usually not great are amazing on this one! There's no crap buds on it anywhere lol, all primo!

Just a great plant!

Bubblegum pistils are becoming a nice bright orange, it's spent the bottom two sets of fan leaves, other ones loosing green now :) in the home stretch!

Blueberry pistils are turning too, spent one set of bottom fan leaves, all others pretty green. She's got a ways to go yet, finally putting together some halfway decent mass.

Grapefruit Punch twins, I just don't know about these... They were ok for freebies, but I probably should have used the space for something better. The two plants are soooo different, that I can't even imagine they're the same strain. Just letting them do whatever they're going to do. Would have been a nice strain to just throw outdoors, not clog up a tent with, just FYI in case someone gets these freebies from Seedsman.

Pink Lady 2 is just covered in crystals hehe! Yield will be very low but it looks like it will be Grade A or a high B at least. No signs of pink on either one yet lol...

Pink Lady 1 is fatter, much more bud sites, less density still and less trichomes. Some pistils turning, some low fans turning slowly.

Bubblegum 2 is becoming a monster! This thing was just a struggling seedling not long ago, and now its bigger than BBG1 haha! Preflowering nicely.

The babies, moving very fast, Blue Dream has some really cool fat leaves, AKR is doing fine too. Healthy and easy.

The little Red Poison 2, same age as the now giant monster BBG 2, but it's just struggling with life. Has a couple leaf mutations. All this from trying to germ in peat :/ I was going to pull it, but just can't bring myself to do it :/ it's really trying hard to overcome its early fail. It may be stunted for life.

So that's my Round 3 and beginning of Round 4 I guess... Round 4 will be: the Blue Dream and Afghan Kush Ryder, the struggling Red Poison 2, the almost adult BBG 2, and I have a Dutch Passion AutoUltimate seed and a Heavyweight Fast n Vast seed on standby ready to drop when a couple of the adults are harvested.
I bought a big 5 gal fabric pot on standby for the DP AutoUltimate when it's time to install :) I knew it was gonna need more than my current 3 gals haha :)

Thanks for stopping by my mad scientist plant laboratory :)

With and without flash. She's really put on some bulk too, I can tell daily. The trichomes are definitely ready, been ready for awhile now, just letting it put on some extra mass and show some more colors. Believe me it is testing my patience lol!

Don't know if I mentioned in here yet, but I quick dry sampled a small lower popcorn bud, it's just perfect. Unbelievably smooth and very strong. Taste is as wonderful as it looks, it just tastes like clean primo smoke. Slightly hinting of some fruit taste, not sure exactly what yet, just some fruit... And another nice taste I can't put my finger on yet, like minty licorice or something weird like that. Plant and dried bud smell is pretty strong but not of "weed", it's part fruit, part pepper or licorice, part herb like thyme or basil but lighter. High is very delayed, even more than usual creeper weed. In like about 20mins it hits hard, boom! I swear my vision took a hit too lol, which is something I'm used to with other substances long long ago but hardly ever or never from half a bowl of weed lol.

If you've thought about growing this, just get it, just dooo it! Trust me now and thank me later or never lol, it's a fun, strong, and great plant.

Very good description, makes me want to put it on my list!

Hold on to yer butts, now the RP calyxes are changing colors faster than Michael Jackson lol! Dunno how I didn't notice! Quick pics:

Even the BBG adult bud leaves are turning tips:

The profile shot shows it's got a fair amount of bud on it, but still gaining it's final stretch mass :)

Babies AKR and Blue Dream are quickly becoming proper lil bushes! Excellent vigor in both!

Day 65 for the Red Poison, it could happily come up now and it's testing my resolve not to lol, gonna take it to 70 and chop. It's still got some fresh white pistils and still fattening up. It's got buds on top of buds now! The other adults are at least a week or two behind despite going in at the same time :)
