I'm starting to decarboxylate before anything, just so the options are open. But, if cooking into oil, I'm not sure it's necessary, because I now like to cook in a crock pot on high for an hour then off for an hour, then on and off for 3 total cycles. I think it should be decarbing in this step, but the oil never bubbles so it might not be hot enough actually. Then cooking with the oil later should decarb it, but I don't want to count on that step, for example it wouldn't get cooked again if I'm gonna take the raw oil in capsules. Honestly, I'm still learning and figuring out what works for me, so I might not be the best answer for that question lol.

Picture update woohoo! Lol:

IMG_20141001_071054i.jpg
The Grapefruit Punch are easing into the typical growth spurt slowly, looking kinda boringly healthy lol. Organic takes all the fun out of fighting mystery deficiencies lol! Anyway the upper one is still continuing to flower a lot, which is odd for its size and age.

IMG_20141001_071110.jpg
Remember the tiger striping on the Red Poison, well it's converted to more and more red/purple :)

IMG_20141001_071122.jpg
The RP flowers are nice and dense, all crystaled up! These are some of the middle flowers, haven't turned pink yet.

IMG_20141001_071145.jpg
See even the RP side flowers are nicely trichome coated :)

RP cola profile shot.

Bubblegum is slowly starting to get some crystals finally.
----
IMG_20141001_071223.jpg
The Blueberry has made a surprising new development of trichomes yay! It's also grown now just a couple inches shorter than the RP.
IMG_20141001_071235.jpg
Flowers getting fatter too.

IMG_20141001_071252.jpg
Pink Lady 1 is trying to grow some trichomes...
IMG_20141001_071328.jpg
Pink Lady 2 hit a growth spurt and is catching up. Still a bit behind 1.
----
IMG_20141001_071358.jpg
Guess this Bubblegum isn't a baby anymore lol, hitting an early growth spurt. Also fine and healthy.
----
IMG_20141001_071407.jpg
The newborns are fine so far. Blue Dream auto and Afghan Kush Ryder.

And there it is for now, nothing really exciting lol, just some nice healthy plants :)

Looking real nice in there buddy, nice selection you have going! Wish I could say the same about organics and deficiencies lool! :Sharing One:

Woohoo! That time frame is about equivalent to one rapper P Diddy name change, or two Lindsey Lohan car crashes lmao!

Haha thanks Dazed, well I ammend the soil pretty thoroughly with all kinds of cool and crazy stuff at this point, with the goal in being preventing deficiencies instead of fighting them later lol. I figure a couple more rounds of amending in layers and it should be well set up for water-only in the future. Hopefully...

Lowest fan leaves of the Red Poison just started losing color and turgor, is it that time already? Wow! Checked the upper trichomes, sure enough, many milky! Plenty more time still though :) just was cool to notice. Oh, been feeding her plenty from the General Organics box, plus well ammended soil, plus teas, so I know she's not lacking any N... But I'm going to step up the kelp and seaweed for her Nitrogen, gonna try to keep the fan leaves as green as possible for as long as possible :) Anyway though I can tell she's going to be done first, at no surprise since it was always racing and was more mature.

Yup it's official, losing green in the low fans of the RP :p Don't think there's anything I can do to stop/slow it either lol. I hit it hard yesterday with a foliar, and a heavy feeding today, and it's losing green down there fast!
IMG_20141003_145802.jpg
Interestingly in the same time it's loosing green down there, the buds gained mega mass and size, so at least it's using the N productively lol! :) Other fun things: the upper leaf tips are staring to redden, which is pretty, more pistils are turning purple, and some even turning orange. I know go on too much about the Red Poison but the particular plant is absolutely fascinating!

Bubblegum is gaining mass with no end anywhere in sight lol :)
IMG_20141003_145951.jpg

Blueberry, oh Blueberry... Stupid thing is now as tall as the RP, and just when I thought it was done stretching. It's picking up mass, but I'll be surprised if it makes a darn half. Grrr! Sugar sparkles are increasing at least :p

Pink Lady sisters, nothing too special atm.

Uggghh the picture uploader thing is being screwey again...

Grapefruit Punch twins, the smaller one is now the bushier one lol.

Bubblegum youngin growing fast now:
IMG_20141003_150149.jpg

Red Poison stuted monkey is the same age as the Bubblegum youngin above :( I'm not one to throw out a plant, but I'm afraid the early peat germination trial just screwed it up too badly :( If it doesn't come around soon, I'll replace it with a new lady. I can't put up with 120 day stunted dwarf 5-grammers anymore.

Photo update! The Blue Dream and AKR are throwing out new leaves, and the Red Poison is starting to amber! Peeks:

The babies. AKR on the left, BD on the right. Meh, they look like any other seedling, but the BD is showing fat indica leaves already :p

No flash, Red Poison.

IMG_20141006_091717.jpg
Flash. RP. I know it's hard to tell with a stupid web jpg picture, and my macro setting is useless lol, but some of the trichomes on the upper main cola are ambering up fast. The plant isn't nearly mature enough to chop, especially the lower portions, so this disproportionate aging does concern me. I believe it to be an unforseen side effect of the top cola of the RP being too close to the UVB 10.0 26w bulb. Oh well.. I've moved the UVB bulb away now. In a perfect world, they would all have equal UVB coverage, just like under the sun... But I haven't yet figured out how to do that affordably.

So, if the uppers amber beyond my comfort zone, I'll have to cut them and leave the rest to mature... The two-stage harvest method.

The side buds are showing remarkable trichome coverage, more than I've had yet :) I think that pic ^ is another comparison between the RP and the Bubblegum.

Cola profile shot. More pistils starting to pink / purple up.

Really awesome plant colors. I think this is going to be my pet favorite strain thus far. I like strange things lol. It would be really cool to have a whole tent of it.
The smell is very strong! But it smells like pepper and sage, or thyme or something. Believe me it smells as beautiful as it looks :)

IMG_20141006_091828.jpg
The Bubblegum is seriously fattening up. I mean it's not setting any records or anything spectacular, but it's blowing away my previous plants :) It's a little slow on the trichome development but the calyxes are sugared ok.
---

IMG_20141006_091838.jpg
Blueberry is coming along. It doesn't really have any side buds :( just the node buds and a small cola. Whatever lol...
---

IMG_20141006_091844.jpg
Pink Lady sisters are doing quite well for bonus freebies. The larger one has lots of little bud sites, but the smaller one is more dense and has more trichomes.

IMG_20141006_091904.jpg
Bubblegum 2 is growing wildly now. Not much to see yet. Glad I didn't throw it out when it had those problems lol.
---
IMG_20141006_091912.jpg
Grapefruit Punch twins really moving faster now after a very slow start. Upper one has been starting to flower for awhile now, but the lower one isn't showing any signs of it yet... Strange. Definitely two clearly different phenotypes.

Everybody all together now, smile!

Notes, it's gotten down to 50* F in there at night, so this could start producing some side effects and/or more purples than normal. Good grief two months ago I couldn't get it under 100* F lol!

Yes thank you! Sweet Seeds really did a great job on this one, and it grows without much effort or difficulty either :) It's just a gorgeous plant! I mean it would be amazing even if it weren't Cannabis. It reminds me a bit of Purple Passion plants, of which I've been growing for years just because it looks so darn cool. I haven't pushed the limitations of it's feeding acceptance either. I'm at full strength now (with the adults) on the General Organics GO Box, and I think it would take more! Of course it's near impossible to burn with organics anyways, but I wll absolutely be buying more of these seeds and next run I'll be really pushing it harder. I also think it could use a bigger container than my 3 Gallon. Just looking at the overall size of the plant, I can tell the roots have made it all the way through it. Anyways.. Lol :)

Picture time!!

Red Poison is first as usual, it's really fattening up daily now, more color change.

Blueberry finally making some almost decent weight lol, still looking low yield tho, lots o' trichomes though!

Grapefruit Punch twins, what was the smaller one is now the bigger one haha!
---
IMG_20141008_103100.jpg
Pink Lady 1 is really leafy, and has a ton of tiny sites, finally making some sugar.
+
IMG_20141008_103122.jpg+IMG_20141008_103115.jpg
Pink Lady 2 is less leafy, denser fewer sites, and is overflowing with sugar :p
---
IMG_20141008_103224.jpg
Bubblegum 2 is much younger but now much bigger than the Grapefruit Punch twins haha! It's poised to be larger than BBG1,which is either chance or proof that my soil mixes are improving hehe.

IMG_20141008_103319.jpg
The baybieeeessss are looking so purdy and healthy yay :) That's Afghan Kush Ryder on the left and Humboldt Blue Dream auto on the right. The BD has made the fattest early leaves I've ever seen yet. The AKR looks like anything else at this point, but the BD is obviously something special.
