Sweet Seeds Al's Dark Devil & Cream Caramel TLO

Lots of scrogin goin on here.
never did the scrog, have had better luck with the tie down and bending over method.
I guess its just my growing area not being conducive to that.
do you think that its a good idea with an auto? I have always thought that i would slow the plant down if i fucked with it like a scrog set up would.
I have never fallowed a scrog grow to see how it turned out. If you do it I will def. be subed
Girls are lookin kickass by the way.

I'm not sure if it'll slow the plant down significantly or not but it'll sure be fun to find out! I need to snap a pic later, the girls are growing like, well, weeds.

im not going to tell you not to try a scrog, but I just last month tried to scrog vast and fast, under a 2 ft square system I built and I had issues. the screen on mine was about 8 inchs from the cocoa and the issues I was having were that the plant wouldn't really want to bend like photos do and it kind of caused her to basically tilt the roots up from the coco breaking some roots and stunting her. I think it was because the roots don't gets big as with photos, but thats just my guess. it may work better if you were a lot closer to the pot or even if you used a scrog as a type of LST. but the way I tried it didn't work well. you may have better luck but with such a short growing time any stress is detrimental to them. good luck, I will follow when you try it.

I SCROGed some SS Creme Caramel just a couple grows ago. See my album. I SCROG all my grows. I start after my girls grow out their 4th set of leaves by using pipe filters to LST the plants and get the lower branches stimulated to start growing. I continue to tie down the top and side branches so as to form a circle of growing points somewhat evenly spaced around the pot. Be sure to tuck the big fan leaves down under the canopy of growing points as she grows. Once all the branch tips and main top have grown past the rim of their 3 gallon soilless mix pots and are all about equal in height, I drop in the screen. As the growing points grow up through the screen, move them from one hole to another to try to get all the growing points equidistant apart. Once your screen is filled, just let her start growing up. LST/SCROG, in my opinion, can double your yield. I am not a great grower by any means, but I get 2-3 oz per plant regularly using the LST/SCROG under T5.. I'll help where I can if you want to give it a try. Great grow going. Good luck. IMO Creme Caramel is one of the best.

As you can see I've started tucking leaves on the Dark Devil. The growth has already shot up within a day of doing it. I love these plants!

Thanks for the input!

I'll be sure to PM you when I get started next grow. I'm thinking a Dragon Garden SCROG will be epic.

Balls

For the 2nd time my Dark Devil has both male and female parts. Just like last time the balls are few in number but unlike last time heat stress CAN'T be the culprit. What else could it be? I'm gonna be quick to blame myself before the genes as nobody else seems to have herming Dark Devils. The Cream Caramel hasn't shown any sex yet so fingers crossed. I'm gonna wait a few days just to be sure that they are balls (they are, i'm just fooling myself hoping they'll change) and cut them off same as before.

Did you get your seeds in a breeder package, or a single seed repackage? I thought feminization was supposed to be over 95% female progeny. I would suspect a mix up in your order from your seed supplier. Sorry about your balls.

Fingers crossed its not a hermi..sometimes they look like something is in the sacks but its empty..cut one and move it away before you open it just in case...if you find any seeds they should be fem but carry the herm trait...ill check back with ya.

They were repackaged but I'm pretty darned sure that it's something I've done rather than Sweet's genetics. The last one hermed (I cut the balls off and never had another problem) and was DEFINITELY a Dark Devil.

I cut 4 little balls off (2 branches had 2 each) so hopefully that's the end of that. The Cream Caramel still hasn't shown sex so I guess she's a late bloomer. They both look great though.

Like DAB said ive had that with a few fem beans..lite green what looks like nanners or similar but are really well undeveloped flowers or similar.not sure. but it happens.it aint the soil lol sooo..:Sharing One: but havent had that though as far as actual balls or even what looks like..what Im talking about is a very late stage wierdness that Ive seen with a few genetics myself..not often but also as ya know keep it clean especially if youve had pollen of any sort or suspected pollen around.I tainted one bud a few grows ago like that.
