Good prices, customer service and overall shopping experience. That's where it ends.


Package was not "stealth" and seeds were easily found; particularly it seems like the free seeds were found first. I have used two other banks and it took me forever to find their crush proof, stealth packaging.


Sad day man.

i) How are goods from Ali Bongo sent? All of our goods are dispatched either in a off white padded envelope or a box wrapped in brown tape. Neither our name nor the contents of the package is mentioned on the package. We do put a return address on all UK order this speeds the return if they are not delivered.

Yea. That works for door-to-door mail. Not when it hits a mail forwarder or when someone opens up the package. If thats all the "discretion" offered then I've just wasted alot of gas money.

They plainly state how their products are shipped.
If you expected more than what they promise that is on you not the merchant.

And the only people "stealth packaging" keeps from knowing what is in your package, are they ones that don't open it. period.

I disagree, and from experience not hearsay. None of the other bank's mailers were intercepted - their methods of packaging I won't detail on here.

The other banks make an effort to safeguard detection. Given their reputation on AFN I wrongfully assumed Ali did the same - if you read my post I accept the loss and issued the PSA. If I had seen this detail in the sticky I wouldn't have used Ali.

Did you contact Alibongo to see what their policy is on things like that? If so, what was their response?

So, you are saying that you had your package delivered to an address other than your own and that the recipient opened the unmarked package and discovered your seeds.
And that other banks sent seeds in packaging that was "stealth" and that package was opened and the seeds went undiscovered?

Alibongo does not support AFN in any way that I know of, but I have dealt with them numerous times with no issues.
The few issues that others have had with them that contacted them were satisfied with their response, did you contact them to help address the problem?

You can take it or leave it but in my opinion Alibongo are sound.

I won't be posting details of my mail arrangement on here.

I'm just making a note of their choice of packaging. It does not work for me - Im not knocking Ali, or those they worked for. No axe to grind here just a PSA to add to the knowledge base.

And to answer Son of hobbies, they said they don't guarantee delivery unless selected at checkout - which I had seen. Which is why I said I counted it as a loss.
