New Grower Air Pot verse Smart Pots verse Regular pots, hell any pot!

Hey lilm00re14 , just wondering, since your getting such great results from the 2 GAL why not go 3 or 5 even. Most likely a space thing I would guess, but I think if you had dramatic differences between one and two then why not 3 gallon?

For now it's for plant size management and also not using as much soil. Also the 2 gallon sized pots are more then adequate to see an auto through to finish. I have grown 3,5,and 7 gallons . The larger sizes can grow monsters.

But sometimes seem to take a little while longer finish . So plant management and also I can fit more 2 gallon pots in my 4x4 then I can 5 gallon pots.and the spot where I begin new plants can fit (12) 2 gallon smart pots perfectly under my T5 =)

I have my first grow in regular 10 l plastic pots. I have purchased air pots - coz I'm european :smilie: - and will use them for the next grow. When the plants are done, I will examine root balls and document how the roots grow in the different pots. You can find it on youtube, but I want to see for my self.

I just tried Auto pots and i'm sold! i'll be converting to all/mostly auto pots!

Yeah I am going with the SMARTPOTS not unless someone can convince me to buy the other, but I have been seeing a lot of those Airpots latley with many Auto users (is it a European thing?). The pots seem taller but slightly narrower allowing the roots to grow further down and spread the legs and the cone shape holes poking out the sides. At least that's what I heard. Guess I will have to try both but Johnny 5 needs more input!

Maybe a european thing. The Air pot is a UK brand.
