New Grower AFN Sold Out

All I have to day is that an is the best forum out there, no bashing no trolling well the occasional troll but that's everywhere. And company wise all companies I've seen here are legit and also that's why we have cannazone testers, so we can see first hand how the products do. AFN you rock:bighug::d5::smoking:

before you post to peoples stuff,I seriously suggest getting with the program and learning who your talking too. one plant? suure, thats all Im doing next to these other three under the 100W LED from Spectrum King and am doing four now. and I grow tons. if you cant or think you cant grow under this light your a fool.and possibly a shitty grower too.

i want MY plants to look like this ..dont you?! that light is what gave me this with a decent soil. so fuck you !

this is what you posted to me,

More misrepresentations from a dishonest LED marketing campaign..

Is it a cool little light? Yes,... Is that hat cool.. Yep, sure is..
Is that enough light to grow even one plant? mmm... I guess so, but to say it replaces a 250w HPS, I don't think so.. a 250 w hps puts out 30,000 lumens this one put outs 9000-10,000... I guess if you had one autoflower in a 12x12 inch tent this is the light for you.

It's a cool light and I'm interested in the driverless concept, but looking at the raw specs there is no way this light lives up to its claims. LED is not magic, it's just slightly-moderately more efficient light than HID and Florescent at this point.

The reviews they post on their own site seal the deal for me... This company is unethical. Vegging in a 4x4 or 5x5 with a 100w light???? No way..

i know nothing of their claims nor spaces. 2.5' for flower and that is exactly what Im pushing now.

Okay, fellows. Let's not throw organic manure at each other.

@Sunny747 : You presented us with a thesis: "AFN sold out". Fine, it's a thesis. Back it up. What companies AFN is affiliated with are represented falsely? I personally would be glad if you made a list with certain claims from members of AFN administration regarding promoted products that were incorrect and biased in your opinion. That I would look into.

@Eyes on Fire I don't think you have to prove anything here. The only way you credibility would be at a question if stone cold evidence were presented. By default it's hard to imagine a grower promoting shitty product to his fellow growers.
Pretty much... no drama needed! [emoji2] [emoji106]

:pass:...we got it EoF brudda, small blame to you in any case ,... some people don't realize that none of these vendors were suggested for testing and advertising on a whim or randomly,... Fellow members and Staff did some 'pre-vetting", if you will,... why bother with anything that's lousy and would reflect badly on AFN or members? Also, the sheer ignorance of how this website is financed and run, how vendors are reviewed and taken on (or IF), who owns it, etc.,... what it was even a year ago is not what it is now, and can't be anymore... many things have changed, and to literally stay around, AFN needs to shift away from it's freewheeling, unsponsored out-of-pocket days.. it ain't workin' anymore! But our reputation for being a happy, stable, troll-free place with scores of fine growers is still our hallmark in the Cannabis forum world, and as such, any vendors dream place,..besides there are so many fine, objective, journaled grows already out there with no agenda with AFN or vendors, it's easy to verify a product with other grows.. and BTW, look closely, and you'll see some of the vendors and reviews are not showing well at all, and were fairly called on that!
..So, sorry Sunny if AFN didn't freeze in time for you,.. it grew up, and still held it's integrity... As challenged above, if you wish to make a valid point, you will need something other than rhetoric and unsubstantiated criticism,... some of your claims are absurd in the face of the evidence,... you're welcome to your opinion, you're not welcome to put words in other mouths or question another's integrity without this thing we call proof,... And if it all offends so deeply, simply leave,... others have, for similar reasons concerning the vendor business end of this evolving website,... :smoker1:
Ditto! [emoji122]

The site is twice as informative then it was just two years ago. It has made a much better grower.
This site has taught me 90% of all the knowledge I use on my day to day grows, for free. 8 months from dropping my first seed, I grew this and made my grower dream come true.

Exactly what it says.. A few years ago AFN was a nice place a person could visit and discuss growing autoflowers..

Fast forward a few years and BAM.. AFN now reminds me of walking into a Spencers... If you're not familiar, this is a store that is very flashy and sells everything interesting from fart spray to "I'm with stupid" Tshirts to black light posters.. It's all cool stuff, but it's just chachkis..

There is still good info on here, but I suggest that AFN tone down the affiliate marketing a bit and get back to helping people grow good autos at an affordable price. I want to see honest reviews and real science not made up hocus pokus claims.

Stop promoting unrealistic dreams of grandeur. There is no magic pill, no magic light, no magic seed, no magic nutrient or seedbank. There are just good growing fundamentals.

I'm all for a website making money, but give people good info, not crap products..

@SonofHobbes you stole my avatar.. What's up with that?

Sounds like you have been hanging around for awhile. Things are going to change it happens and from what I have seen and experienced it is a great place to research many different facets of growing from equipment to nutrients and actually growing. I didn't know how this place was before Nov of 15 but I like the fact that I can think about getting a certain strain or hardware and get some good reviews. I tend to research stuff and come here to reaffirm that opinion.

If there are people that think they are going to start off coming in thinking because they see these growers that are doing amazing things with auto's are just damn good growers. If there are any dreams of grandeur then that's on that person. I have been a part of a football website since 1998 and it is nowhere near what it used to be that's good because it has progressed for better or worse. The sports website is privately owned and the expenses are steep and not many people know what goes on behind the scenes to support one. People started complaining about the ads and pop ups but what they don't understand that the sponsors help with costs. I like it that the actual reps are here and that opens up tons of possibilities of knowledge and customer service that you normally won't get as quickly.

You can still get info on how to grow auto's cheaply here but it takes the growers to put some effort out and research also. Here is a cheap tip if you are broke and want a air pruning pot go get a cloth Walmart bag fill it up with soil and you are good to go found that on you tube so it is possible to one to find info.

It's hard to take anyone seriously that comes into any community and gets self righteous. If you want a better site go start your own then. Always remember your browser didn't choose to be here YOU did,no one is forcing your hand and people like you are not missed.

I always take any manufacturers claims with a pinch of salt but this is why I love AFN.

Growers plant their seeds, throw them under lights and log their results at the end with a final yield, sometimes poor, sometimes good and sometimes amazing, but always honest as I can tell. We take this info not from companies but from growers like ourselves.

I have based most of my light, soil, ferts and seed choices on these results, not on the companies claims and have had some pretty good results, maybe @Sunny747 you should try judging the quality of a light by its results by real growers than by manufactures claims.

I also got to say, pretty poor wording for starting a discussion.

Used the site for approximately 2 years. Taught me pretty much everything I know about autos on here, along with trial and error.

This site is a lot more friendly than some of the other growing forums. Mention autos on some and it's as if you've killed somebody's grandma. I would say the initial tone of OP couldn't be further from truth.

If the admins have had to advertise to get some money in, so be it. Web hosting etc costs money, for an excellent resource such as the Autoflower Network to remain FREE, if there has to be some advertising to cover costs, it must be that way.

The majority, if not all, of all adverts I see are from very reputable companies, Dutch passion, sweet seeds, mars hydro, amare to name a few.

All companies may over exaggerate what certain products can do, its marketing. It's not the fault of AFN.

Most of the companies have somebody on the site to help, dutch passions Tony, Tina from mars hydro, which should speak volumes in itself about what a reputation the site has.

Anyways, happy holidays all, happy growing, and everybody on AFN, keep up the good work.

Marty.
