Old Reviews Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect

My water is pretty pure from my well PPM is at 8. Almost like RO water. If you have city water that may be your problem. Try it out in some RO.

The additives are all the same, the pH perfect is in the base nutrients. You don't have to use any other product from AN. You can pick their GMB, Sensi, or Connoisseur. I'd recommend anyone to get the Sensi line, it's the middle grade of the 3.

I usually feed my plants half strength every watering, nothing special about my schedule. I only use 3 other products, CalMag, AN Bud Candy, and Bloombastic.

I'd actually caution against saying you can use any additive and still get the full benefit of the pH Perfect base nutes. AN did reformulate the additives right around the same time as they were doing the pH Perfect thing so I would guess there was probably some kind of attention paid to making sure they would be compatible and not throw things off.

I think you're probably right that most other brands' additives would not screw up the pH Perfect that's in the base nutes, but there's no guarantees. Even if most of them work fine, there's sure to be some that don't. Just to CYA I'd say that the AN additives are the ones you can be sure will work, and everything else might or might not.

Yeah your probally right, no guarantee with others. I just use one of their additives Bud Candy. I have put these nutes to the test with other brands. Botanicare Calmag will bring my pH down and Silca Blast aka/ pH up. Atami Bloombastic. All of these mixed with half strength base nutes will put my pH at 5.8. It would be good for people to check the pH when they first get started using pH perfect, make sure their additives don't throw it out of whack.

Hey Jackal. What exactly does Bud Candy do? Does it really make the bud taste like cotton candy?

Its snake oil bro, just like most of AN's additives. If you really wanna use an additive from AN I'd say Nirvana since it has triacontanol in it plus L-amino acids and other stuff.
Thought there are many better alternatives (bloom and/or taste boosters) out there from other brands.

Eh good call on the atami bloombastic Jackall it ain't bad at all.
They (atami) have a natural product called Ata XL, really cheap taste/bloom booster that smells heavenly like vanilla. like 10 bucks a litre and its only 1ml/L. I'd say it'd be way better than that bud candy.
As for a real strong booster, I've had many ppl recommend CanadianXpress Headmasta, same price/dose as Ata XL and it has silicon included in the mix. I've been using it for the last grow and I must say I am REALLY blown away by it. Highly recommend.
I currently use both Ata XL + Headmasta.

Thanks C.E I got free samples of perfect ph products and bud candy was one of them so thought I may give it a try

It's for carbs/sugars instead using something like molasses it also has amino acids and vitamins in it. No it don't make them smell like cotton candy, but does increase resin production.

im gonna do an experiment today. im gonna grab ro di and regular tap water and add veg only, bloom only, and bloom with outside additives so that this will be resolved by science.

Thanks but molasses will work just as well?
