Grow Room ac infinity T4 automatic fan controller

Only thing I could find was about setting a minimum speed but have you seen these ones
yeah, that's probably what I should have bought but they aren't available in Canada yet from what i could see, and I also read reviews of people having the same issue that I am having with that controller 67 as well
 
Once the fan is 'On' just dial up the speed to whichever speed ya want and leave it!.. it is pretty simple really!.. ;)
I already had a S4 version of this fan with a 10 speed controller that i could adjust manually and I left it running at 2 constantly. A few times during the evening my RH would skyrocket to 75% and I didn't want to manually turn the fan up every night and down every morning.

I bought this specifically to self regulate, so the fan would come on more powerful at night when the RH starts to climb.

The only solution I can think of is to continue using my old fan at a 2 and then also use this new fan with controller to only come on when the RH exceeds the trigger limit. I have to use 2 fans to accomplish the same result but it's the only solution I can think of so far

The annoying part is that some people are able to set their fans up exactly how I have described, I just cant get mine to do that.
 
The fan controller posted is the exact one that comes with the newer versions!.. thats what I have!.. the settings I posted work with that model, with no problems... is that not the one you have?.. they are available on Canadian fleabay.?.. US stockists tho I think.
As for regulating night temps... you may just have to run it harder at nite to maintain low humidity... the fan only blasts full on til back into required temp humidity zones.
The old one can be set i just haven't needed to know how!
You could use your old fan as an intake fan if exterior humidity is OK or stick a humidifier in your room... jus a thought!..

the posted one is NOT the same as the one I have. From my understanding it is available only as standalone unit called "controller 67" that has a few more features. notice the clock in the top right of the display, as well as a settings button instead of an eco mode leaf button.

The only negative review on their website for the "controller 67" says:

"Not as functional as t series controller

The scheduling can only be set for off and on, not to auto mode. The ramping function has to be set 20 degrees f lower to be at speed 10 by your set point. I’ve requested a refund and wouldn’t want anyone buying this assuming it has the alarm function the t controller has, because they did away with that. In that regard it is unusable for me."

I have the T series controller and I still cant manage to get it to function the way this reviewer describes.
 
Could someone explain why many want to run their exhaust fan continuously vs. letting the sensors, thermostat, etc. control the fan? Isn't that how you'll get the most precise control? Running an exhaust fan continuously seems counter to being able to control temperature/humidity -- constantly adding more external air than is actually needed. What's wrong with cycling on-off to maintain precise temp. (and optionally, humidity)? From the plants' perspective. how is continuous sucking in air better vs. on-off cycling.

If some feel that they must have constant air exchange/negative pressure, then why not just attach a simple, small fan, even a clip-on fan, at one of the ten openings/vents/screens to do this? And then set your AC Infinity fan controls to come on how you want.

A regular fan in the tent will circulate the air that is in the tent, but with a carbon filter attached to the exhaust no air will be replaced in the tent unless there is a fan actively pulling through the filter. that's my understanding

I was referring to a small fan exhausting air out of an unused vent/screen (and this might need to be vented to the outside), just enough to see some air slowlly being sucked in when the main fan is off, with the AC Infinity fan doing the great majority of air exhausting.
 
@boddah87 ...my bad!... I didn't look at the spec's close enough, it looks like Ac inf are trying to rectify the issues with the previous 2 controllers that growers were having, fair play to 'em... I may ask them for an upgrade!.. tbf I'm happy with what I've got and how it operates... my tent is pretty on point as far as temp/ humidity are concerned, touch wood!..
@bil I run mine constantly to create negative pressure simply as I don't have the luxury of legalisation!?!. So all airflow out the tent passes through a filter... and the T6 is powerful enough to scrub my whole growspace if the tent doors are open if I whack it up fully!.. jus saying!.. Easy now!..
 
Whilst we're on this subject!.. I found this info off their website:
One advanced programming you can use is setting your low temp/humidity trigger as the high trigger. Here’s how that works: Establishing your low trigger’s temperature or humidity above your high trigger will create a range in which the fan will run. Let’s say your low trigger is set to 85°F while your high trigger is set to 70°F. This trigger programming will activate your smart fan when temperatures are in between this 70-85° range.
May be useful to some of you out there?..
