I have run an AC Infinity T4 fan for quite a while and it came with a click button thing to set the fan speed from 1 - 10. I just bought a new one that includes a programmable controller and I'm confused about how to set it up properly. I know, I know, it seems simple like a child should be able to figure it out, but I'm stuck even after watching youtube videos

I understand how to set the fan to turn on and off with the threshold triggers, but how can i run the fan constantly while using the trigger settings to increase or decrease the fan speed?

For example: If I set the fan to run at level 2 then set the high temperature trigger at 27 degrees, the fan doesn't run at all unless my tent surpasses 27 degrees. That's not what I want, I want the fan to run at level 2 all the time and then ramp up if the temperature surpasses my trigger. Isn't that possible?

The options on the screen are ON - OFF - AUTO - TIMMER and you can only choose one of them at a time. How can i set the fan to ON while still using the Auto capabilities?

This is hard to articulate, I hope someone who has this controller understands what i'm talking about. thanks!

Hey there, I have the T4 Cloudline with the controller. I don't think it will run unless you have the parameters set such that it kicks on. Also, I don't think it will run low speed and then ramp up. Mine does not. One of the limitations of the unit. It's pretty nice overall but I was dissapointed that picking a speed means it will run that speed and not slow/speed up as needed to hold say, a temp setting. It's an on/off trigger and the fan ramps up to whatever speed you picked. I highly recommend going on their website and using the chat function. The reps are very knowledgeable and helpful.

I had mine on the auto setting for a long time and eventually just went with the "on" at speed 2 constantly. I did find the auto setting useful through the seedling/early veg stages to keep humidity and temp in check. After that, I just let it run and glanced at the screen a couple times a day to check the environment.

I have a thread here:

Might have some information for you.

You can have your fan running at whichever speed you like for extraction/ negative pressure purpose... just by scrolling thru and turning the fan on!..
The high temp and high humidity settings will trigger at whichever level you set them at!.. to bring the temp/ humidity down to below what you've set,
The alarm settings are more crucial as they will fire the fan up to 10 until below the setpoint... have your sensor hanging just above or around the canopy top and if using led these seem to be pretty standard settings... works for me!..
Assuming you've got the newer model fan you will find when scrolling-
High temp monitor 85f
Low temp monitor Off
High humidity monitor 60%
Low hum monitor Off

High temp alarm 90f
Low temp alarm Off
High humidity alarm 70% lower in flower if you need?..
Low humidity alarm Off...

I have my T6 fan running at speed 3 all the time usually and the sensor monitors the rest... occasionally when watering the fan kicks in full speed due to a rise in humidity or spraying the sensor!..
hope this helps!..
Easy now!..

This took me way too long to research, and I don't think I'm any further ahead.

There seems to be at least 3 different versions of the T4 Cloudline Controller that all have the exact same model number: AI-CLT4 UPC 854759004785 Why the fuck would you update your product multiple times and have no way to differentiate

The instruction manual clearly states that there is a DC version of this fan and an EC version of this fan, and they can not be daisy chained together, but until I read the instruction manual I had no idea there were multiple versions of this fan. This isn't mentioned anywhere on their website that I can find

My controller looks like this:
fsan.jpg

Notice how there is a 3mm port for the temp/humidity probe and there are 2 4pin molex connectors. My fan body has 2 wires coming out, One with a regular 3 prong electrical plug and another with a 4pin molex connector. According to the Manual this is the EC motor version of this fan

Now look at this photo i found online:

This controller has a port for the probe and 2 4 pin molex connections, but it also has a port for a power adapter. This is the DC version of this fan

My fan came with an instruction manual labeled MANUAL CODE CL1910X1 and on the page describing the AUTO feature looks like this:

There is no description about setting an idle speed, and all the auto settings say "fan will activate if the probes readings exceeds/falls below this trigger" The word Activate makes me think On/Off.

Now look at this Instruction manual I found from the Old version (with 2 buttons on either side) This version comes with something called a smart mode but no "auto mode" This version comes with MANUAL CODE CL1610X1 and this manual has way different information. I found this here if you want to see the whole thing: https://www.acfdserver.com/manuals/CLOUDELINE DUCT FAN Product Manaul_Digital File.pdf

Basically, When i read about how to set up this controller or if I watch a Youtube video it seems straight forward, but my controller doesn't act the way

When I run my fan with these exact settings, it stays at 0 unless my limits are triggered. I still dont understand how to get it to idle. If you run it in ON mode does it use the Auto settings? (mine doesnt seem to do that)

Once you've plugged in the parameters, set the fan 'on' at whichever speed you want and it should be good to go!.. it will beep and kick in if limits are reached usually high humidity, worked for me!, can't say more than that!... Easy now!..

how you described it is exactly how I have it setup and it's not acting the same at all. I'll have to chat with them on monday

Yes, the fan will not run unless the parameters are exceeded with it on the auto setting. If you want it to run/idle you have to just set it to speed 1 and "on." Unfortunately. I was hoping for the same thing you were where you could have it idle and then ramp up as needed.

They have definitely had some issues with their documentation. In all the images and manuals on their website and included with the fan I bought, everything showed being able to connect the filter directly to the fan. You cannot do this. I chatted with their agent and they mentioned that it has been brought to the companies attention but they have still not fixed the wrong directions.

I think they may have gotten ahead of themsevles or there are two divisions not speaking well at the company.

BTW... the older models are different with diff modes!.. "Not as good" some say?..the fans were originally for AV/AC use not specifically for grow tents!..jus set your parameters and switch it on, if your environment is dialled in hitting the extremes shouldn't be an issue!.. fingers X'd!..

Once the fan is 'On' just dial up the speed to whichever speed ya want and leave it!.. it is pretty simple really!.. ;)
