Thanks, Blue! Mephisto is really making a name for themselves, and I'm glad to finally be in on the action myself.

Great pics Andy! Trichome jungle on the sour crack! Spot on!

Great harvest and grow!!

Huge buds man and covered in Trichs

:niceshot: :foxy: ....short, curvy and gummy as all get-out! -just how I love'm! :brow: ..trichome density is impressive, ay? ..wish I could smell, to see how close it is to GC photo,... ***.... Hmmm, too bad about the DP,... I wish I knew why that aromatics fade happens,.. it's happened to me too on some plants in the past,...:slaps: -irritating! Well, as you say, maybe some jar time will improve on things,... next round, maybe try that Wild Thai from WoS,... under 1.5m indoors, and with a topping/minor LST, could fit the bill! How about LBH's short pheno' SDH?....
:pimp:...how about some dry porn my friend? :stylez rasta smoke: ...you knew that was coming, huh! I won't even ask about how awesome the Syrup and FAm are,...why torture myself?! BTW, is Noods growing the same FAm?....:pighug: cheers Sir Bot's!

Hello again AFN friends! :bighug: Time to dust off the journal after a LOOONG hiatus. I normally run a grow in spring and another in late summer, but some necessary home repairs nixed my spring grow. Once I got that all taken care of, and got my summer vacation out of the way, it was time to begin my first grow of 2015. I am still using in my 3'x3' tent with a 400w HPS & air-cooled hood. My light is a Ushio enhanced spectrum HPS bulb that will go from start to finish. Building on my successful grow last time, I am using AN pH Perfect nutes with my own variation of @TaNg's feeding schedule, and RO water in 5 gallon jugs from the local grocery store.

All plants will be grown in 3 gallon EZ Roots containers, using Sunshine Advanced #4 soil. These are the 4 strains that I am growing:

Mephisto Sour Bubbly
Short Stuff Purple Amnesia
Sweet Seeds Auto Trainwreck
Short Stuff Auto Spanish Diesel

As expected, the Mephisto SB took off like a rocket and it's the biggest by far. Mitch's gear is solid as a rock! The Purple Amnesia is a close second, while the Trainwreck has been a slow grower. The Spanish Diesel was a late addition but it's very vigorous and has caught up well despite being 4 days behind. The reason I had to add the SD late was due to all three seeds in my DP Auto Blueberry pack being duds. It's a real shame as I was hoping for a fruity strain this go around, but it wasn't meant to be.

Here are some quick shots showing how things are progressing so far:

Day 8

Day 13

All these plants had their first feeding on day 10 except the SD, which is 4 days younger so it only got water. You can see a little bit of heat stress below on the biggest two plants, and there's not a whole lot I can do about it. I have no A/C in my grow area, and the ambient temps are hanging around 80 or higher in the summer heat. Doesn't seem to be causing any other problems, though.

Sour Bubbly - Still growing like a weed and the biggest in the tent by far at over 8". Pistils were showing on day 13.

Purple Amnesia - Not quite as tall as the SB, but growing very well at around 6". Pistils also showed on day 13.

Sweet Trainwreck - A picture perfect little plant as far as leaf development goes, just not growing very tall yet. Just around 3" tall at this point. I was somewhat disappointed until I compared some past grow pics and found that I had many large plants that were this size at the same age. Just by comparison to the other fast growers, it seems small.

Spanish Diesel - Doing fine at day 9 and the same height as the Trainwreck. I've always had great grows with Short Stuff gear so I'm looking forward to this one.

Thanks for checking in folks, and I'll hopefully have another update soon. These last photos were actually taken last Friday, so I still have a bit more catching up to do.

Any questions or comments are welcome! :toke:

Way to go Andy. A real good selection of tasty strains. I shall be checking in regularly to have a good old drool and to follow the progress. Do you mix much soil with the pearlite bro' ? lol pictures can be so misleading.

LOL, the soil mix I use is light, but the picture is a bit misleading. After a couple of waterings the perlite tends to float up to the surface making it appear as if it's a hempy pot.
