Thanks, bud. Zero issues with the water. My liquid pH tester has literally not been touched in months and things are right where they should be regarding soil pH. I'm sold on the pH Perfect nutes, though the final verdict will come after I get to judge the taste and smell of the bud. I am debating what to do about the flush, since I will have to make a couple of trips back and forth to the store to get that much water. But the alternative is to use my crappy tap water which has a pH of 8, high ppm, and is full of chloramine...

I think you answered your own question... ;)

...unless you can collect rainwater to wrap it up :)

Yeah, I've been planning on picking up a rain barrel for a while now but the things are pretty damn expensive. I have a downspout right next to the basement door so I really do need to get that sorted before my next grow. I will probably just bite the bullet and use the RO water for flushing. A bit more hassle but I'd hate to cause issues right now since things are going so smoothly. Once of these days I will test flushing with straight tap water and see what difference it makes, if any.

Man, you aren't lying...I just looked into those as well. Ridiculous....and how about that one that looks like a fake mountain from a putt putt course? LOL!

I'm thinking about just setting up a funnel and hose setup off the roof leading to one of the PRIMO jugs...and just putting it out when it's raining...

Rainwater is great for outdoor grows and permiculture gardening, but for indoor grows you are bringing in a host of pathogens if it isn't treated some how.
Not to mention it really should be diverted for the first 10-minutes or so so as not to collect all the crap accumulated on the roof.
If it is stored in the barrels uncirculated, silver or some other anti bacterial agent needs to be used.

I ended up doing the flushing with the bottled RO water and it wasn't a big deal. Flushing is always somewhat of a pain in the arse anyway, since I can't take my plants to a sink or a bathtub. What I do is take a 5g bucket and put a piece of old closet shelving on top:

This holds the plant and lets the water flow through to the bucket without too much mess. I was testing ppm & only ended up only needing to run around 5g through each pot before it was within 100 of what I was pouring in. I was also using FloraKleen and the water was pHed very loosely (low 6s). Of course as I went back to fill up the 5g jugs for a second time, the same guy from the store was sitting outside next to the water machine again. I told him I was helping a friend clean his fish tank...

I also ended up flushing the Syrup as it had only grown less than an inch since the last feeding a couple of days ago. She may have stretched a bit more but at this point having all three plants on roughly the same feeding schedule is more important. Lights came back on a while ago and they are all looking surprisingly fit and not droopy for just a few hours after flushing. I'm looking forward to cranking up the bloom nutes and seeing how much bud these gals can pack on! :stylez rasta smoke:

Ive heard the same argument, rain water is better for outdoors and greenhouses. I dont argue with the people who says it works for them indoors but i wouldn’t recommend it unless your willing to put in the work it takes to clean the rain water.:Sharing One:
