Indoor AB Fills the Tent!

Yeah, this gal smelled like a truck stop in August. Sure as hell not strawberry in any way, shape or form. I do like an occasional diesel, but not when I'm expecting a berry strain. :dunno: But it's all good. I have 6.5 ounces from this grow and all 5 strains are smelling & tasting great as they cure. Anything I get from the Cobra is a bonus. I would just hate for a new grower or someone who only has room for 1 or 2 plants to get stuck with one of these duds.

It's really nice to have all the lights, fans, and bubblers turned off for a while. My electric meter is breathing a sigh of relief.

OK guys and gals, I've fired the tent back up and gotten the ball rolling on my fall grow. This time I'm only running three plants since I got a nice variety from my last crop. I am looking for some sativa dominant strains this go around, along with a little more sweetness to add to the stash. These are the choices I've made: Buddha Seeds Syrup, Dutch Passion Auto Durban Poison, and Dinafem Original Amnesia Auto.

Still in the 3'x3' tent with a 400w vented hood. This time I am using an Ushio enhanced spectrum HPS bulb from start to finish. After going organic for many grows, this time I am switching over to the AN pH Perfect nutes using TaNg's feeding schedule. My tap water has chloramines and a high ppm, so I will be using RO water in 5 gallon jugs from the local grocery store. I was about out of nutes anyway and rather than going with my old standards, I thought it would be fun to mix it up a bit. Even in the heat of summer I'm running around 80 degrees with humidity around 60%, so conditions are good for vegging. As we head into autumn, the temps and humidity should drop just in time for flowering.

All three seeds popped a tap root after 24 hours of soaking, and then I planted them right into my Sunshine Advanced #4 soil. The Durban and the Amnesia sprouted right up, but the Syrup was AWOL. After waiting an extra day I dug it up and found it in the shell still underground. I freed it just in the nick of time, and I have been waiting to see if it will pull through. It's pretty rough looking, but I think it's going to be a keeper. I've had some good harvests from plants with a troubled childhood, so hopefully this one will reward me. Just a few pics to get things rolling. They're looking a bit crinkly which I would normally think is pH, but my Accurate 8 says all 3 pots are right on 6.5. Feeding will commence in a day or two so we'll see how it goes.

Day 11

Syrup - Let's hope the ugly duckling becomes a beautiful swan. The latest set of leaves seem to be normal, so hopefully she'll be good the rest of the way.

Auto Durban Poison - Fast grower so far though she did stretch just a bit in the first few days. I love Durban and I can't wait to see how this one turns out.

Original Amnesia Auto - Like most Dinafem strains that I've grown, this one is looking healthy and well-developed so far.

Thanks for checking in, and keep an eye out for smoke reports from my last grow. :tiphat:

Oooooo subbed up, in the front row!! I have had the same leaf twisting and deformation on quite a few of my grows too Andy, not sure what causes it, but my ladies pull through!! Glad to see ya up and going again!!

3 fine strains in my opinion. They should have room to fill out nicely. I'll be watching bro!good grow karma :karma Cloud: shouldn't need much since all are high quality genetics.

Ah, my main men Bri, Eyes, IDS - good to have you here. Three fine strains indeed. The Durban and Amnesia can get really big, so I am debating doing some LST. I've only toyed around with it before and would rather not if I can get away with it. Still stewing on that one.

I am long overdue to visit all your threads, so prepare for a rep storm. :slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap:Hop digity

Hi Andy, you replied to my thread a lil ago, but was wondering what those glistening white particles are on your flower in Magnum because one of my concerns about my plant was about the white spots all over my plant, that looks very similar to your pic. (will post pic soon)

Hey bud, anything you saw glistening on that plant would have been trichomes. No bugs or foliar spraying or anything like that with the Magnum. If you are in the flowering stage and you're seeing crystals forming, that's exactly what you want!

Back for a quick photo update. All the girls got their first feeding on day 12 and have responded with a huge growth spurt. Still getting some twisting and edge curling but pH is dead on and temps are 78-81 plus I have a fan blowing across the canopy. The HPS is about 20" away which should be fine, especially with a vented hood pulling away the heat. I'm not really sweating it since they are all growing like gangbusters. Here's a before and after of the last 3 days of growth:

Day 14

BSS - Green and growing well though she still has some deformities going on. I may regret it but I am committed to this one since by the time I germ another and get it going, it would be almost 3 weeks behind the others. After my last neverending grow I am really looking to be shut down for the year in late October, so the Syrup will just have to be good enough.

ADP - She's about 6 inches tall already and growing like crazy. As much as I don't want to bother with LST, this gal has me worried that she may end up as a 3-4 foot beast if I don't tie her down. I'm liking the node spacing now after being a bit worried when she stretched as a seedling. Already a strong cat piss aroma that you can pick up from several feet away.

OAA - She's a happy plant with a nice skunky smell developing.
