Indoor AB Fills the Tent!

Thanks EoF! I'll definitely snap some shots of the cured bud and jars when I do the smoke reports. I just wanted to get those weights logged for my own future reference as much as anything.

I've been on the fence myself about the next grow. I've got plenty of beans I'd like to try but with 6 new strains in the stash I really am not in a hurry. Given my inability to get the RH lower during the humid summer, I will probably not think about starting again until the dryer days of September. Now that I have another circuit run to my grow area, I can use a heater to avoid the problems with cold temps that I had early in this grow, so extending into early winter won't be a problem. This is pretty standard for me, though. By the end of a grow I'm ready for a long break and then after a couple of months pass I start getting the itch to fire up the tent again.

Great grow, nice variety, that magic dragon ... oh how I love her. I still have a buddy who request me to grow another magic dragon. But no growing gor me yet... congrats on nomination for that beauty

AndyBotwin, you have some amazing looking ladies there! Looks like you are gonna have some nice potent buds!! I gotta say that magic dragon is awesome! Great colors and damn nice yield from her! Great grow man and I'm gonna be on the lookout for your next grow!!

Quick update since I need to vent. Below are some shots of my Flash Cobra at day 113. Yes, you read that right - day 113. This is getting ridiculous. I have always had good luck with Stitch's gear but this has to be a case of mismarked seeds or else something went wrong in breeding. Seems to have some SuperAuto genetics since it's over 40" tall and is running way too long for an regular auto. It's also supposed to have a fruity strawberry smell but I've got nothing but bike tires and diesel fuel. Smells very much like Russian Rocket Fuel, but those plants never grown tall like this from what I've seen. I like RRF but I have a couple ounces already and I don't need a bunch more similar weed. As for the bud, it's slowly frosting up but there's no density & it's just a tangled mess of pistils and sugar leaves. It's been dropping fans quickly in recent weeks and seems unhappy no matter what I've done with feeding. Such a pisser because I have a bunch of seeds on hand and I could have grown anything else and it would already be curing in jars by now.

It's been weeks since I harvested all the other plants yet this one could probably go another month or so if I let it. Unfortunately I am going out of town for 10 days at the end of the month so it's getting chopped in two weeks no matter where it is. I only have one reliable person to help with plants and he's going to be out of town for most of the time that I am. It really should not be an issue since what kind of auto grows for 4-5 months? I could have grown a sweet photo plant in the same amount of time and saved money on electricity. Oh well, I guess I've learned the same hard lesson as so many others. I'll continue to grow out the old Stitch favorites I have on hand such as Auto Assassin, RRF, and Mi5. But I can't afford to waste my time and money on anything else due to the unreliability of the genetics. I guess the upside is that even if the bud isn't very dense, there's so damn much that the yield will still be good. I'm just hoping that the potency makes it somewhat worthwhile for running my setup for an extra month after everything else was done.

Here's the shabby beast in week 17 :dunno::

Thanks, HH. It is not supposed to be super auto and I would have never grown it had I known it would still be nowhere near finished after starting in mid-March. Yes, there are loads of white pistils and only a few cloudy trichs but this is not a matter of deciding when to chop. If I leave it unwatered for 10 days when I travel, the plant will be a total loss. It needs water every other day and droops badly if I go to 3 days without. I have no choice but to chop it in enough time to get it dried and jarred up before I leave town. Too bad since it could end up being a monster yielder, but I could grow a big photo plant in 5 months just as well.

I'm sorry its taking so long bro. I have 2 of stitches strains that I'm scared to grow because I do want it to do what yours did and take 100+ days I can grow a nice photo strain in that long. I have not heard much about cobra but what you say iT smells like and what its supposed to smell like is way off. I could see if it had a fruity smell but not exactly strawberries but burn tire fuel does sound like it could be a different strain. I feel your pain Andy and know the feeling of "damn, I could have done something else. Well with u taking a brake til weather cools down at least you'll have a nice selection until then. Its crazy how light the buds look at that age. I think its around seed and what ever that strain is you have wasn't bred very well. Good luck with the cobra bro, you did everything you could sometimes its not our fault how plants turn out its the genetics.

Yeah IDS, these are living things and we can only do so much to bend them to our will. One good thing is that I have loads of couchlock bud on hand so going early and getting more of a head high is fine with me. Even though the potency won't be at its peak, hopefully it will still be pretty good.

I fed her today and I think that's it. Next watering later on Wed/Thur I'll go with a Florakleen flush and water the rest of the way. We'll see how much more she can do over the next 2 weeks. Either way I'm not sweating it - I have a bunch of jars of sweet new bud on hand to keep me happy, so anything good from this Cobra is a bonus. :smoke:

Hey always good to have loads of "less" potent buds to smoke thoughout the day! :Sharing One:
