Indoor AB Fills the Tent!

Ripster's Spirit 51 very nice strain roadrunner#2 and ak47 i grew 2 of them one indoor and one indoor/outdoor xD nice smoke DD allways great strain magical color never tryed badbetty but looking forward to this mate S51 can purple too:)

Thanks for stopping in my brother. I have spent plenty of time looking your S51 grows and that's what made me dig out those beans. I've been following your exploits since you were Asi way back when, and you were one of the first to follow my journals in the old days. I might be a stoner but the old memory works pretty good still! :roflcry:

I did my own time in the wilderness away from AFN & I hope you're as glad to be back as I was. See you around... :Sharing One:

Back again as the tent continues to empty out. The Magnum got the chop today and the WW and TD were moved to jars this morning. Both running around 64% humidity so I am right where I need to be for a good cure. I may jar up the Sugar Mango tomorrow but the Dragon still needs more time to dry out those chunky buds. Cobra now stands alone in the tent soaking up all 400w.

Buddha Magnum - Day 93:

Really nice little harvest of buds from this one. I think the extra week definitely helped with bud density, even down low on the plant. I wanted to chop her a few days ago but just could not make the time to do it properly, so she was pretty ragged looking by the time I took her down. Got some purpling in the final days which I don't think is genetic to this strain, so likely P deficiency since it's been a while since I flushed. Super dense buds with a seriously stinky skunk aroma with some light citrus in there as well. Given how miserable this plant was in the early stages of the grow, I'm satisfied with the yield and I am expecting some killer potency based on everything I've read about Magnum.

Flash Cobra - Day 93:

This is the tallest auto that I've grown and definitely the slowest. I'm finally seeing some solid bud sites forming, but there's a long way to go. She's a voracious eater and I've been upping the amounts of nutes but I'm getting some yellowing. I snuck in a little extra seaweed and fish ferts and upped the cal/mag even higher. If this gal fills out the way I expect I'll have a huge harvest on my hands, but I hope it doesn't take all summer to get there! I really hoped I'd be shutting down the lights for good by now. But if any plant is worth a little extra on the power bill, it's this tall girl!

Thanks for hanging in there now that we're in the 4th month of this grow! :tiphat:

Tent empties...jars fill....great cycle! :)
Beautiful, as always...AB!

Looking great on all fronts andy!!! Great assortment of meds!! The Magnum macro shot of her trichomes looks killer!!! You will dig her goods!!! Well done!!!

Trap, EoF, and briman - thanks for stopping by! I was doing a little popcorn bud sampling over the last couple of days and everything is great with respect to potency. Of course they've all got a bit too much of that 'sparkly' head high that you find with uncured bud, but they still knocked me out for hours. Major medical effects from the Magic Dragon & it definitely gets the blood flowing and fingertips tingling. WW has a heavy stone but I hope it hangs on to a little bit of the nice head high I got from it. TD had me soaring for 2-3 hours & was about as close to a true sativa experience that I've ever gotten from an auto. It definitely needs some maturity and balance, but I think I'm really going to enjoy it. I can't wait until the curing progresses and I can fully experience the taste and aroma of these plants.

  :foxy: :foxy:   :foxy: :foxy:   :foxy: :foxy: :woohoo:........
Brilliant stuff Sir Bot's!! Allow me to hold the stencil to my forehead and you can paint the giant scarlet "L" to my blunt skull for not rolling tighter with this excellent "saver" grow! :roflcry: Seriously my friend, I recall how you had grave reservations about things early on, but this is a perfect showcase example for others of the why and how-to stick to it for the long haul, and let the girls surprise you,... These smaller rock-pile plants are what I aspire to! ....my needs are modest, I'm a shameless slut for variety, easier to care for and less conspicuous- :brow: :wiz: .... great photography too! The pervy c/u shots of trich's are about the best I've seen anywhere,... I love it when it's so dense in build and trich' caked you can't tell leaf from calyx! :bone:<--(knocking shit off the desk- LOL!) *** okay, drool cup mounted,...In true porn fashion, Ima leisurely roll my tong-*coughcough*- uh, eye's over each hottie and say nasty things... :crying:

>> WW- Ahhhh, this is the rock-piles' Rock Pile! - that's not a cola top, that's a green fist! And from what I hear of DP's WW, that's precisely what she'll feel like- LOL! ...the resin gland density borders on the obscene,... *** ...grape-orangey fruit punch aromatics,...great, gotta drain the drool cup already!
>> TD- ...makes me wish I tried this strain! ( the way I've been stunting things lately, it'd be no problem- LOL) ....I shy away from DP because they tend to become rather beefy, even though the strains are usually stellar... She's actually a very cool looking plant! ..nothing but burly missile nose-cone buds... Specimen grade Bonsai all the way- :smoke: Again, the trich' coverage is fantastic! A nice sativa buzz, ay? -- duly noted
>> MD- :hump: Holy crap!! You got your rock piles,... and then you have,...The Boulder... :ama: She's astonishing Sir Bot's!! Almost unrecognizable as an MJ plant,.. I bet you could drop that in some public garden somewhere, and most folks wouldn't have a clue! Hell, I put her on display at the local temple with the rest of the Bonsai's,...:roflcry: -labeled "Ruderalis hybrid", and who'd know WTF? *** No lie about the mold worries! -seems I've heard very little bad news about this with Dragons in general,... is mold resistance something they are noted for? ... Love those Dragon colors,...and the fat stubby trich's too!--classic Mossy goodness :dance2: Mini Masterpiece bro'! ...again, this is what I'm talkin' about for my auto grows,... :help:LOL!

>>> SMR- :brow: And now for something completely (physically) different,... :roflcry: - All arrow tips and spear heads! this strain is raved about so much-:coffee2: Alas, I didn't pick this up on my radar until it was too late! WOS has a great ep' with their autos, huh,...not many choices, but each one is top o' the heap.. You are positively killin' me with the aromatics! I hear she kicks like a demented mule- LOL! A mind-blasted slack-jawed goofy high,...( sounds like my GhdxC99 from last grow- whoa! talk about potent, gotta be one of the strongest I've had, photo or auto).... Let us know what she's like mate!
>>> Mag'- more burly, stoopid gooey buds! Buddha is another great, quietly quality breeder,... And Mag' is a Champ indeed, the complete package! yeah, the stank is fierce- :roflcry: ..I think Rebel and DAB's both "complained" about the olfactory pummeling they got being around her! Wooow,.. so resinous,... gorgeous plant too!
>>> That Cobra! :dunno: She thinks she's a cruise missile or something,... that build is so atypical! She's going to look like one giant mono-cola pretty soon -LOL! Definitely a throw-back to an ancestoral parent, you think? The time she's taking too is notable,... I had 2 on my first grow ever, and they were among the first to finish,.. delish' aroma on them! ..sweet, fruity, little spicy... I dunno man, she may need a baby-sitter when you go on vay-cay...  She's got the diva attitude it seems, and taking her sweet time about it,... talk to the hand! :roflcry:

***
Oh yeah! :hump::hump::hump: In the future I'll be running some Bad Betty, Duurty Dragon, Ripster's Spirit 51, and a few other oldies. Got to show the new kids how we used to roll back in the early AFN days! :bump:
:crying: ..oh man, you have those blasts-from-the-pasts? Okay, now you're starting to disgust me! :brow: those are legend, and boderline extinct..? ...I can't complain too much-- I did get some ALF#3's and PJEM's! Honerable ancestors... *** Awesome stuff Andy, I'll hear no griping about yield with quality like this!! :pighug: Well done, saaaahhhhh...:tiphat: :slap:...wish there was some sting behind that!

Waira, many thanks for swinging by the ranch. I might grouse a bit about how things have gone along the way, but I'm definitely happy with the final product. Every bit of testing I do reveals fantastic potency and now with the cure in full swing I'm starting to get some great flavors and aromas. As for that Magnum, I guess it's no coincidence that since I got her chopped, the stank permeating my basement has dissipated greatly. I was convinced that something must be wrong with my carbon filter or that I had a leak in the ducting, but I think she was just an overly smelly gal. I can't imagine the odor control issues with a whole tent of huge Magnum plants. Every time I type that I can't help but envision one of my childhood heroes:

MagnumPI_TS.JPG

Really, who's a bigger badass than Thomas Magnum? Epic mustache, Ferrari and Hawaii guest villa on someone else's dime, a friend with a helicopter to take him places, women falling into his lap every week. Good, good stuff.

Last night I spent some time with the curing jars - burping them, removing the hygrometers, and trimming buds off the stems. At this point the Magic Dragon is the only one that I am still monitoring to get the humidity down a bit more. With those heavy, wet buds it's been a challenge getting it dried and into the proper range. The other four are solidly in the low 60s so they are now curing away with a 62% Boveda pack in each jar. I'll burp them occasionally but nothing to do now but be patient as the curing magic takes place.

I forgot to take the camera down to the tent for the Flash Cobra but she's getting really fat and starting to frost up. Still seeing some yellowing of the larger fans that no amount of food has been able to stop. Honestly I haven't had the time or energy to spend much time in the tent, so she's just going to have to get by with me haphazardly splashing some food on her plate a couple of times a week. :dunno: She's at something like day 106 with plenty or time to go & I'm really needing her to finish up. It's costing me at least $10 a week in electricity to keep everything running, not to mention I'm just ready for a break from growing. I am out of town for 10 days in early August so she's getting chopped in less than 3 weeks no matter what. I have to have everything dried and in jars before I leave, so even 3 weeks will be cutting it close. But she should be a massive yielder & I'm hoping she vapes well since I'll have plenty on hand for a long while.

Here are the final weights and a few comments. Full smoke reports to follow, but I never do mine until at least 30 days in the jar to ensure no remnants of chlorophyll or other nasties.

DP Auto White Widow - 27g - Given the fact that this plant was only a foot tall and never seemed happy, I'm extremely pleased with this yield. The bud density is amazing and it's got serious bag appeal with all those white crystals. It's cured quickly and almost lost all the 'green' taste and smell with less than 2 weeks in the jar.

DP Think Different - 26g - Another one foot plant that looks like a bigger yielder than the WW while in the jar, but doesn't have quite the same bud density. Still a very nice return from a runt of a plant. Lots of fruitiness in the aroma and flavor, but still needs more time to reach the full potential.

WOS Sugar Mango Ryder - 39g - Lovely plant and the curing bud is really coming alive with the sugar mango aroma. I have grown plenty of strains with a fruit smell, but never one with so much sugary sweetness. It really smells like cotton candy despite the fact that there's still a bit of chlorophyll sourness that hasn't dissipated yet. Very sativa-like with loads of long, thin buds.

Buddha Magnum - 30g - Cue the theme music... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvjzSu9RIcI  I have to say I'm quite surprised by the yield of this one. Around 14 inches tall but never looked as chunky as the two DP plants. But she really filled in over the last couple of weeks and produced some beautiful buds. Nice and dense with plenty of crystals. The smell and taste isn't there yet, but some samples have me thinking this may become my favorite for daytime vaping.

Magic Dragon - 66g - No doubt this one leads the way in weight will all those fat buds. It took several days longer than the others to dry, and even after around 10 days in the jar, it's still at 64% humidity. I figure at least two more weeks of burping the jars to get things a bit lower for the long haul. Slow and steady wins the race when it comes to curing, so I'll take as long as I need to. Still a fairly green smell, but more herbal than grassy. I went to the spice cabinet to try and place the aroma & it's definitely got some parsley and sage notes along with a little black pepper bite. Even after grinding it up, it doesn't have a strong cannabis smell or flavor. Very nice potency, though, with great relaxation and pain relief.

So there we have it. 5 plants complete with a yield of 188g/6.6oz. Certainly could have been higher without all the problems, but a 1.3oz average per plant is fine by me. The Cobra will definitely yield more than a couple of ounces and push that total higher. Full smoke reports to follow in the coming weeks, and I'll link to them here as well.

Thanks for stopping by! :tiphat:
