Indoor A Sea of Green in Hydro

Hi bros,

I want to share my opinion that is different than yours, maybe it will help to someone.

Defoliation - I think that this technigue brings more damage than benefits. Leaves are solar panels of flowers, If you take them out it loses its resources to get more energy and building material for growth. Leaves are also storages - you remove resources that plant made for later use. I also believe that this brings alot of stress and also makes plant to grow a lot of thin long branches. I believe that plant is enough clever, that if she doesnt need some leave, she will let it go. If some leaves are over buds, you can take it under….

Different aproach I have to small downside branches - if i think they Wont do it to canopy i remove it….

Recently i have one thread here when I will try to prove this theory

Good luck and best buds!!

I understand where your coming from but the question is how many solar panels do the plants actually need to develop nice large dense buds. Looking at an average cola without all the fan leaves it’s always still covered in green plant matter which I would think acts as solar panels too. From my experience the plants actually like the heavy defoliation... maybe because it’s not using all the extra energy trying to keep all the large fan leaves alive and green. When growing SOG heavy defoliation is a must if you don’t want to end up with a bunch of larf at the bottom. With the schwazzing technique I’m able to consistently grow 25-35 ounces in only 8sqft with practically no larf… not possible without all the leaf stripping. I can post many of my journals and pics to prove that the heavy pruning is beneficial to growing a high yield crop.

I understand to you too, i think she needs all leaves she decides to have :smoking:

35 ounc in 8sqft is excellent, please send me some of your journals, I want to read it!

Your are welcome in my thread - I am trying to do one big plant in 2.3*2,3 feet

There are many roads, and all of them go to Rome.

No problem bro. Need to go do some work but will post later.

Badass!! So if you scaled this down to a 2.5 x 2.5 with a 2 x 2 tray, what else would you need? I currently have n HGL135W Rspec clone from Niemi. If it is like the HLG, that means is probably draw a bit more than the rated power from the wall. Would you even use a reservoir for that or just hand water? How many 6 inch blocks in a 2 x 2? 9 or 16? Also, what are those clamps you are sung for supercropping?

I read somewhere that when we worry about removing leaves, we do not account for the fact that fan leaves get eaten, broken, etc in the wild.

Here you go…

I’ll start out with this one since the size of the tent is exactly like yours.

15-16 ounces
https://www.autoflower.org/threads/hellraisers.87610/

39 ounces

30 ounces

61 ounces

26 ounces

14 ounces

17 ounces

14 ounces

31 ounces

27 ounces

28 ounces

33 ounces

Looking like around 26-28 ounces

Possibly over 30 ounces when finished

Gearing up to be around 16 ounces when done

Thanks brother!
The first thread I posted yesterday is a 2.3x2.3 tent with a 2x2 tray inside. There are 9 of Sawneys Hellraisers in there on self wrapped 6x6 slabs.
You don’t need a reservoir if you’re available to water everyday. You can leave the tray alone without drilling holes for the pump/drain and just top feed the plants at least once a day. Your tent should be 63” tall so you have the option to use a reservoir if you choose too.
The little white plastic clamps are training clips that hold down the branches so they don’t reach the light and help control the canopy.
