Indoor A Sea of Green in Hydro

Thanks man!
Everything has been fairly easy so far… all the hard work is yet to come. :rolleyes1:
I noticed you do the "schwazing" I think it's called where you strip it basically of all the fan leaves right? What stages do you do that? I have a strawberry Nuggets that's super compact right now I think I'm going to try it on

I’m constantly plucking leaves off my plants starting around day 21 but like to do the first strip around the 3rd week of flower (after the plants stop stretching), then again around the 4-5th week of flower. Heavy defoliation is a must with plants that have a lot of foliage or when growing dense canopy’s if you don’t want to end up with a bunch of larf. I notice when people post their total weights after they harvest and most of them have a large amount of fluff bud at the end which I do my best to avoid.
It’s all in the pruning!

@420autoflower do you have any tips, suggestions, techniques on mounting lights at the top of tents? I feel I give up ar least a foot.
I usually have the lights about 12-15” away from the top of the canopy. With this grow I’m going to have them up higher to be able to cover the entire grow area better.

im saying i got too much space between the ceiling of the tent and the lights - can't figure out how to mount the lights higher with the stuff that came with the lights.

Yeah that's exactly what I'm trying to get rid of. Would rather have a bunch of big colas than little satellite larf. I'm going to try out the schwazing with my SN tonight. I've been pretty diligent with the gorilla punch about removing lower stuff so we'll see if that works out for me.

My 650r is basically just zip tied directly to my ceiling bars :crying: Whatever works really. I have safeties in place in case it breaks but my double zip ties are holding strong 2 months in

Here is what I start doing when I run out of head space. Lol I’ve also attached the lights directly to the pole with gardening wire. :rolleyes1:

Hi bros,

I want to share my opinion that is different than yours, maybe it will help to someone.

Defoliation - I think that this technigue brings more damage than benefits. Leaves are solar panels of flowers, If you take them out it loses its resources to get more energy and building material for growth. Leaves are also storages - you remove resources that plant made for later use. I also believe that this brings alot of stress and also makes plant to grow a lot of thin long branches. I believe that plant is enough clever, that if she doesnt need some leave, she will let it go. If some leaves are over buds, you can take it under….

Different aproach I have to small downside branches - if i think they Wont do it to canopy i remove it….

Recently i have one thread here when I will try to prove this theory

Good luck and best buds!!
