I thought you had oxypots and they are 20l
Did you use calculator? What is your tap water ec/ppm. Which meter do you use? Try to fill calculator in and check how much you need of aqua a+b

I use a hm digital EC-3 meter & just calibrated it mate ,,,but i hav a bluelab on the way

i do use oxypots which are 20l but only if full ... to reach bottom of net pot tales about 13.5-14 ??

my starting ec is 0.2 ... i checked the calculator & it says i should be putting in 23ml to 13L but after i add the cal & rhizo theres no way i could put that much in & still have EC at the right level ???

Vira your EC seems to be going up quite a bit with just a little cal/mg & Rhizo??

Although to be honest I haven't used it for ages now.. But I thought Rhizo a was relatively low NPK content mix..

I now use excactly 15L of water in my 20L buckets..

Brown stuff in roots... Are you absolutely positive it's not just staining??

Slime on your roots looks like clear snot that wont wash/come off... as far as I know.

Your roots are too small to tell yet..But if they end up a mass ball as they should.. They should smell like lettuce... Kinda... A clean earthy smell... If they smell bad... You're in trouble..

stuff i did different this res change

ditched the zym..
added 1ml cal/mg..5ml--6ml
swapped formulex for aqua..
added 1ml sillica (to up ph)..
ditched 1 of the air deffusers..

on further inspection & a bit of research i recon im looking at staining or just nutes/media, trapped in the ball(hardly a ball)... i hope anyway .Other options are- rot....slime....but some roots that looked brown a few hrs ago are white again now ....the res is fresh & no sign of slime(just a bit of cal/rhizo on the ceramic parts of the deffusers again ,but hardly any).....EC has stayed the same & PH is up from 5.6 - 5.7 since adjusted a few hours ago(sillica fully disolved probably?).

Anyway going over my options i thought possible solutions where ...res change (no water thats been stood/bubbled for 24hrs)...replace deffuser that was removed (unlikey cause)...smash the fk out of everythin(nahh)....add zym.(Seymour would not agree at all...in fact he would tell me im shit)....and this is what i did i added 18ml of cannazym to the res(as per the canna chart for 13/14ltrs )...i figured it was in the last res, & there it was on the canna chart when i was looking up the amounts of Aqua i should be using!!!,it's meant for healthy roots,i have a root problem,kush must be doing the kushty thing,can still do res change if recomended & she didn't seem to mind it last time.So FraggleDozzer noob that i am i added some zym untill tomorrow !!.

Ko & co , i never quite got that canna chart ..but got enough to work out what i should be adding...but i guess thats with there nutes only & iv already added cal/mg -rhizo which used up over half my ppm ! so i only used 8ml of aqua to get the EC to where it needs to be ... this is why i thought it may be better to go 1/4 strenth rhizo sooner (1ml/1ltr) to give me more room for aqua ???.im getting confussed again lol & im a bit drunk & very high so goodnight & to all

Kush i have a bluelab stik on the way & may be something with my ec pen but dont think so...what does your ec hit after cal & rhizo ? & i guess they go in that order ?..maybe i'll make a fresh one tomorrow to check.. ..what ml of aqua do you add to a res when you swap from formulex to aqua?.(if you remember!) we have the same size pots & i know guess you used the same nutes bud?, If you where putting in a lot more aqua, like Ko says as well, then i could be doing something wrong here ???

Hi mate

I really wouldn't chop any of those roots out. They are absolutely fine. Whenever using these nutes you'll always get the staining! You should see house and garden root stim. It's fuckin black and properly coats the baby root to protect them in their own bio system.

I've grown quite a lot of autos now and using rhizo, canna always stains the roots. House and garden will do it more but a the afore mentioned nutes will do it too!
If you're really unsure, whack some h2o2 in there, that will kill all the nasty shit. But only a few ml per 10l. It will kill all your nutes but it'll kill everthing else as well. But this is a last resort for me.
Then redo your res as before.

I think the twisting and tip discolouring is ph swinging too radically.

Don't chop the roots!
