I got 3 babies peekin out today of the new batch of beans! I also dropped my lone dragon on its head from 3 feet up-gain some,lose some lol!

I tihnk it must be the sillica staining the roots???...& hope the PH rise was just a bigger than normal jump as it was a fresh res ???...im freaking out a bit as she has shown some good growth in the last 24 hrs & i was happy when i 1st looked in the cab ,until i did the PH check & saw the roots all brown n sh*t

EC -1.05 (525ppm) (will hopfully rise to 1.2 in morning)

why should it rise? When it rise it will say your girls not eating and just drinking = not good

As for me there is something wrong with your nutrients measurement. For 20liters you should have 40ml of a and 40ml of b
Check canna aqua calculator
If you run on tap water your ph should be pretty stable (just use needed amount of nutrients - use calculator)

Remove this brown thing from the roots (I didn't did it in my firt run and my girl was seek and produced almost nothing) Check the size difference

small one had this brown thing and it was not removed at time and later it is just impossible.
Roots die fast in dwc with ph swing of 4 up to 6.5. Don't be scared to remove brown as they are dead and in this stage they will regrown fast

hey Ko ,i said the EC would rise as it was a fresh res & it usually rises a bit in the 1 24hrs while all the nutes disolve ect...

by the time i had added 6ml cal/mg & 30ml of rhizo, the res was at around 350ppm & it only took 8ml of A&B to get upto 525ppm (just over EC1.0)

I probably only have 13.5-14 ltrs actually in the bucket ...... Are you saying that it should take more A+B to get 1.0 ???....EC has stayed the same untill i added some water with sillica to up the PH & then it dropped as its been diluted ... wouldnt the Ec rise as well if she was only drinking ??
