A bit of a mess.... what next. Defoliate? More LST? Let 'em be? Day 29

when starting out and getting to know stuff less is always more iv never not defoliated just cant help myself :smokeit: when you see pistils coming from the bud sites is when id switch to flowering nutes for lights i use a GN telos 008 led and a 400w hps looking at going full led this year probably get another GN unit if your looking around at diy builds my advice is stick to Samsung 301 led strips and meanwell drivers
or check out
GN TELOS LEDS
CHILLED TECH
LUMATEK ZEUS
or if your on budget look at the mars hydro sp and ts models
super thanks- the whole lighting thing is quite bewildering and i am asking to try and navigate around. but again probably need to chill out at some point and just get an led. Not really on a budget which makes the menu a whole lot longer! Only got a small space so trying not to buy something that will fry the plants and house

It budget is no option then there are Autocobs and quantum boards.

You'll be looking for PPFD and efficacy (efficiency) mostly as a 2.5umol is pretty good though some of the Samsung strips reach 3.3umols. However if you were going DIY the best would be boards or strips from CutterAU as they have high end Nichia, Cree, and Optisolis diodes that outperform the Samsung 301b diodes.

What size is your space? DIY or pre built?

it is quite small- a 70x70x130h tent. But i have my eye on a tent that is 1.2x1.2x 1.8 (max height) which is attic shaped. That would give me a bit more working room and fit my attic space. I would just be aiming for 2-3 plants at a time. I have been watching some of Migros reviews which felt like a never ending restaurant menu (and i like his COBs). I saw someone on here had one of his plus a mars hydro i think as a combo. I am not aiming for perfection, just a fighting chance to grow.

Watch that video to get a basis about lighting. Even if you choose a Mars Hydro it isn't a bad choice. It's just nice to be educated about why you made the choice.

Good luck
