I hear ya man... mixed spectrum is nice... I actually did a combo of both myself... 3 125 w 6500K CFLs for starts and HPS 440 for finishing... its all in the same room atm so they get a gradual blend as they are moved successively through to the hps from the cfls... thats about to change tho... cuz I'm gonna setup so i can have starts in a homemade tent at 18/6 or even 24/0 and the hps for finishing photos / autos at 12/12 cuz i have crosses i need to run out.. :toke:

I can tell you thouhgt it out... its arranged nicely... well done mate!

:toke:

doode dont listen to anyone theyre just haters! and the amount of lumens means fuckall when it comes to plant growth, its all about PAR, and since you have 2 different spectrums, youll have different types of radiation for the plant to use.. keep doing what youre doing and when you have the finished product wave it in they player hating faces!!!! and then send me a fat oz lolol :D:toke:

THANKS BROOO!!! im gona try to become an advanced auto grower without having a grow under my belt yet lol!! im actually in the process of getting supplies together so hopefully next week i can get started!! thanks for the rep bro much appreciated!!!

Wow with the socket splitters and more bulbs, I could make this more interesting

that is a badass setup! if your not living on the edge, your taking up to much space! +rep

Your setup looks great but I would still try and get some reflectors on them for even more light focused down on the plants.I've finished two grows start to finish with cfl's approx 37,000 lumens and as long as you keep them close six to eight inches from the top .They do give off alittle heat but a couple fans take care of that.I also mix 2700ks with 6500ks for a balanced spectrum.

I respectfully disagree with Senior fun, lumens are the measurement of actual light output, the more lumens the better no matter how you get it,cfl, led, hps or a bunch of flashlights.Spectrum is somewhat important because your trying to mirror what the sun does, and in the fall the lower angle of the sun produces more of the red spectrum and your trying to imitate that.

That is a nice setup there Phammy, I was expecting much less until I saw the picture!
