New Grower 600W MH/HPS - DWC - Mephisto Fantasmo Express && Sweet 'n' Sour

Still no roots in bucket... I lowered the water level and to make them stretch a little more. Humidity is pretty good going from about 45% to 55%. pH is ~6 and nutes are at a 1/4. They get top fed still... The first pics were from right after rez change. Two days later and I do see some improvements. The yellow is slowly leaving on the one girl.

Immediately after rez change:

2 days later, They seem to be coming in fairly strong now and liking the changes.

Notice how the yellow is on the decrease and some nice new growth is obvious.

And this fatty has been a trooper from the beginning!

Roots dropped around 15 days. Next time the light a little closer and being sure that I am feeding with nuted water (I suspect there was a mix up with spray bottles!).

Right now all is going great. Humidity is bang on and nutes were changed yesterday. Ph seems to be getting to around ~7 after a week so I need to keep a better eye on that as well. Some pics below. All is well currently (I think! Let me know please if you see something!). The yellowing on one is a result of overwatering earlier in the grow and the yellow seems to be growing out and no new growth has appeared so that is great!

So it has been quite the week! The MH bulb I was using died... So I bought a fancy hortilux hps+ and am going to use that for the full grow. So far I am very impressed as the temp has been rising way slower in the tent at better light output! The humidity dropped low, down to ~20% so I bought a humidifier and put it on a monitor just like @Boradon suggested. Over the last few days the tent has gotten to ~60% which is what I want. Humidity climbs and moves slow though.

One plant has some strange discoloration I think it may be a result of too low humidity and possibly some wind burn from a fan I was running? Thoughts?

But look at this girl, she was the runt and I was not sure how she would do but she is all of a sudden rushing up!

I pHed down to around ~5.3 (I suck at reading the liquid!) and it seems to raise about 1 - 1.2 over the week as it sits. Plants are starting to smell a little and over all things seem to be going well. I expect better results now that the tent is begining to get dialed in. PPM is ~250 in nutes (fox farms organic big bloom and grow big + hydroguard) and temp sits from 77 - 81 F .

It looks good. Why do you have mosaics in your pictures? I'm just curious
I think the mosaic you are refering to is actually a blur function on the app I use, it is meant to scrub exif data etc and autoblur any faces I leave what is there if it is not blocking anything!

I was pondering over the state of my girls. I did some research and it looked like a pH issue. I checked pH yesterday and again today and she is up to 7.0 and down 50ppm from yesterday, I need to up my feed! Damn such a silly mistake I will check my other girl who looks great and depending on her ppm reading up her nutes or not but I am going to update [HASHTAG]#2s[/HASHTAG] nutes today to 1/2 nutes of what they recommend and I will keep an eye on her to see if I need to move to 3/4.

Before this I had been monitoring the ppms and they didn't seem to be consuming that much. They are also growing very fast and so maybe they were not until they were?! Lessons learned.

Ok she is now at around +350ppm for a total of 450. Ph is a sweet 5.5 and I think this is exactly what she needs... unless she needs it stronger!! The other girl has not ate a crazy amount and looks great so i guess she just needs less nutes at this stage. i will keep an eye on everything and I am striving to continue feeding based off ppm and need as I get better at reading the plants. This is a hell of a puzzle and I love it!

I will get pictures up later, My appologies for the the lack of postings lately. I have been pretty busy but the garden is doing well. Some pH fluctuations leading to coloring on some lower leaves, I am getting better at managing that but it is a learning progress! I am going to bump up nutes again today as they are eating about 60ppm a day and raising pH around +1 or +.5 depending on plant. I had some enviroment issues as I did not have my thermometer at canopy level and so when the plants grew enought to be shady they making the sensor think the room was cooler than it was. I had started with an old used bulb and when it blew I did not factor in how much stronger the new bulb between this and the heat possibly raising too much I had some slight heat issues (hilarious considering it has been 0F outside!).

Lots and lots of learning and today I am going to scrog and super crop to get an even canopy. I only have 6ft of height and I had initially planned to let them grow natural but I decided against that when i saw just how leafy they were getting and how much light I feel like was being wasted! Exciting day ahead with some nute changes and a scrog to be installed. Before I scrog I will clean the tent a little and do a little maintenance as after the net gets done it will be a real pain in the ass! Pictures will be incoming after I get some work done!

This is them after a pretty hard day with a nute change. I changed how my light was oriented to be more even and did a little reorganizing as well as putting in the new fan. Scrog net did not arrive but once it does I will begin to scrog the plans out and maximize that canopy. I was not going to but I had some light burn or heating cupping or a mixture of both on the tall girl.. The bigger girl is getting about 1100 of nutes... Kinda scared of that but she has always been pretty voracious in apetite the other one just got bumped up 5ml on veg nutes to a 20ml here ppm os around 800.

The smaller girl, bushy with a little coloring on bottom leaves from pH fluctuations... I have been a lot better at that at keeping it in a range from 5.3 - 7.0 I check daily and add water and ph down if needed beyond just the water.

The big girl, she has some pointing up of the edges but I had her under the hps in a way more focused way than I intended and because she is so tall she got really close to the light. It is hard because it is cool here and I have a cool tube my hand is more than comftorable at 4" buuuutttt they should be more than 12 away on these new bulbs it seems, She is inspiration for the scrog too because she is tall. Got a shot of bloom nutes today at a 1/4 with her veg nutes.. I am hoping that was not a bad move!
