Day 70

The buds have swelled up a bit more. Especially the side branches have put on a bit of weight. I hope they will finish around 12 weeks as I would like to take them down over the easter weekend. If they're at least close to finishing I might take them down anyway as I really need to get the next grow started.

The past 5 feedings, or a bit over 2 weeks, have been at 4/5 nute strength and I haven't seen any signs of nute burn. I think they could even have taken a full dose. They're definitely hungrier under this light than the old one. I noticed the pH of the run-off dropping over the last couple of weeks. It's around 6.1-6.2 except for #2, which was at 5.9. I'm not sure if it's relevant or not as I will begin flushing in a few days but some days ago I sprinkled some dolomite lime on top of the soil. Has anyone else noticed the pH dropping at the end of the grow? Just curious if this is common or not.

The trichs are mostly cloudy with a few clear ones and the odd amber one.

Nice buds after all problems.

4/5, is that 4 ml of bloom and 2 ml phosph? Have never used so high dose. Tried, but was too much.

I use Hesi at 2,5 ml Bloom and 1,25 ml (Phosf.) in flowering. After giving them 3 Bloom & 1,5 Phosph. once, they showed brown at leaf tips. But I grow Think Different.
And to avoid guessing when to switch from veg to bloom, I start to put more and more bloom instad of TNT, I replace in 7-10 days.

I grew in Growmix, but LightMix is better, less guessing what is in.

And do not wait if it is finished, next grow will be better, so you might be loosing buds with waiting.

I have never noticed the soil ph dropping but i rarely check it unless i have a problem. Maybe its the lime but wouldnt that make your ph go up? Looking great by the way really beautiful bud structure, id say its smells pretty good in your tent now dude.

Thanks Briain! I see now that I worded that poorly. What I meant was that I added the lime when I noticed the pH dropping. I just don't know if there's any point in trying to adjust the pH this late in the grow. It didn't have any effect yet, the pH was still dropping last feed, I guess it takes a bit longer to work. Next time I will be watering with straight tap water, it's usually around pH 7.2-7.4.

You would be right about the smell, it smells fantastic in there. It's a sweet and very pleasant smell, the perfect companion for a bit of bud gazing.

grows looking great bud! max rep for the trich shot!

Thanks Lewb and thanks for the rep! It took a couple of shots to get that one :smoke:. That's the only drawback with not having the CFL, it was much easier to get good shots with a 250W bulb in there. Now I just have 40W of white led for working in the tent and snapping pictures. With the CFL I could take trich shots freehand, now I need a tripod.

Nice buds after all problems.

Thanks Gonzo! I think the light partially compensated my lack of experience . Good to know that someone else here is using Hesi nutes as well. Yes, I've been feeding them 4ml of bloom and 2ml of phos+, plus a full dose of cal-mag. I sitll haven't seen any signs of nute-burn so they seem to like it. When I was growing under CFL I was feeding 2 ml of bloom and 1.5ml of phos+ and that seemed about right. I tried going a bit higher but then I saw some nute burn.
I think you're on the right track with the nutes, I think it's better to switch a bit earlier. There isn't that much more PK in the bloom nutes anyway as that comes later with the phos+.

Man those Auto Blue Berry looks great, loving the purple ish colors.. nice photos too:Sharing One:

Thanks sour.b! I'm also quit fond of the purpling.

Any News Buddy?

Hey Briain, I've been a bit busy lately so I haven't done any updates. I cut down all 4 plants over the weekend and they're currently drying in bags in the tent. It wasn't a huge amount, I would estimate around 120-140g dry. I should have the final weight by next week. They all smell great, the smell in the tent as they're drying is really intense. I think they could've gone a little bit longer but they were pretty much done. I snapped some pics before cutting them down.

I also prepared my next grow so I have 3 CBD kush and 1 Blueberry soaking in water and I will put them in the pots tonight.

Sometimes you find these little trichome forests, I quite like the way they look.

Geez...I got the "York Peppermint Patty" sensation when I looked at those frosty macros.....my arm hair literally stood up.

Nice job!

Nice macros bro..enjoy the tasty harvest...:Sharing One:

Thanks Duggy! I only tried a quick dried sample so far. I think I will wait until they've been in the jars for some time. The first one I cut down should be ready to go in the jar tomorrow.

killer pics…. respecticals

Thanks dirtbag and thanks for stopping by!
