add two more ladies to the party! my two runts just showed sex today, and they're both ladies! the total stands at 6 girls, one male! time to thank the cannabis goddess!
the two that did sex, however, are clearly of a different phenotype than the other 4. much smaller, lighter leaves, much less vigorous. they seem more properly suited to an arid climate, versus the others that seem more likely to be found in some kind of fertile, seasonal area. the little guys have a squat, thick, hardy kind of look that i can't describe properly.

so i switched the bulb today to hps, transplanted the two latest sexed plants, and fed everyone about half strength of 50/50 veg nutes and flower nutes.

now picture time! cheers!

here's the family. the bottom right two are the ones that sexed today. they're significantly behind the other 4, but i bet they turn out super strong *fingers crossed*

i think this is my favorite lady in terms of growth so far. she is starting to stretch a little compared to others

this one is very short, but still pushing solid, dense growth

this one seems incredibly average (compared to the others)

i fed lightly again today (probably too soon, i must let dry out fully before i flush with clean water next time). i also added some mycorrhizae stuff before the watering (cant remember brand name and i'm in bed and high, so i'll check tomorrow). anyway, here are some pics from today. i really like the last one zoomed in on the new growth. cheers!

@Afrikaaner thanks for the guidance. i went ahead and pm'd Jackal and he told me that a scrubber/filter will definately be needed later on during flowering. guess its back to the drawing board for me

Hey man, glad to help. If you're looking for an inexpensive alternative to the manufactured carbon filters, just Google "DIY carbon filter" and you'll get a bajillion results.

power went out about 2 hours ago.

the power came on between 12 and 3 today, so hopefully one day of wonky lighting wont turn all my beautiful ladies into shemales. i was stressing out all day about the power, coupled with a cold night (no heat with no power apparently), running to a bunch of stores during lunch instead of eating, only to get to the camping store, and it was closed because the power was out! jeeze, just set up some of the colemans i wanted, and you'd probably sell a bundle! but anyway, nothing melted the stress away like coming home on a damp, cool evening to the warm glow of an hps bulb and the slightly acrid scent of immature plants. it inspired me to outfit a new carbon filter for the 6 inch insulated ducting i switched to, which actually increased noise on the intake side, which now i need to think of something to do to silence that again. anyway, i'd attach pictures, but right now i'm high, and almost nothing could motivate me to get out of my cocoon of warmth (except maybe a glass of water), so with that, i will bid thee adieu

no balls on any ladies yet, i watered today with plain water. leaves are curly though, any idea what might be causing this? the important thing? pics!

and i almost forgot the little guy! she's probably going to turn into a bud on a stick (btw, this makes 7 females, 1 male. mighty fine if i do say so myself)

also, i almost forgot, i pollinated the lower branches of 3 plants i liked. i did a terribly sloppy job. i probably will end up with seeded pot, but hey, i want seeds anyway, so im not too worried. as long as i get a few seeds, i'll be set.
