well it's a gorgeous 79 degrees with 55% humidity and sunny closet grow land, and the beans are in the ground. i had 100% of the seeds crack open (as usual! ) so hopefully germination rates will be there too.
lever, the breeder is Reserva Privada.
edit: actually, after temps leveled out, it's 81 and ~45% humidity. i probably should have tested my ventilation system before today, but i was pretty confident, and it did in fact work out swimmingly!
quick story about how my closet is set up:
I rent an apartment, and it has 2 closets set up right next to each other, separated only by a single sheet of drywall. i had originally mounted a plain old a/c fan on the wall, but it resonated SO LOUDLY you could probably hear it outside. and keep in mind this is my bedroom hehe. so anyway, i ended up using silicone to mount the fan on a cardboard box (stop laughing, i didn't want to spend money) with foam rubber inside to further absorb vibration and duct tape to seal it up, and then silicone'd that to the drywall (with a hole cut in the drywall to vent into the adjacent closet). For incoming air, i just cut a hole towards the floor to allow cooler air to come in (there is a shelf that separates the top of the closet from the bottom and serves to keep the hot air up top, and the cooler air on the bottom. i'll get you guys some pictures when i'm a bit more motivated (maybe tomorrow?). but for now, everything works, and i couldn't be happier. can't wait to see my babies pop their heads up! maybe tomorrow!? damn, i'm giddy!
oh yeah, and i set my lights to turn off from 1pm to 5pm for 2 reasons: 1) electricity costs the most between 12noon and 7pm and 2) they make me oxygen while i sleep instead of eating it up! maybe i'll sleep better?
